Harry Potter: Book Seven

Book Seven of the Harry Potter series (as yet no title announced) will be the last of the Harry Potter series, and possibly the longest, (as Order of the Phoenix is currently supposed to be the longest), although the author, J. K. Rowling, has reportedly considered writing other books.


Spoiler warning: Plot or ending details follow.

Facts

* Rowling has revealed that she has already written the last chapter of this book, although she admitted she would probably have to change some of it. Information was provided about this on the show "Imagination : J. K. Rowling : Harry Potter and me" on BBC WORLD.
* Rowling once stated in an older magazine article that the last word in this book will be "scar."
* Rowling has stated that this book is almost like Part 2 of the sixth book, Half-Blood Prince, so may provide a direct continuation of the plot of that book.
* Lupin will play a big part in this book, as will Lily's back-story.
* Harry, Ron, and Hermione will be in their seventh and final year at Hogwarts, and will presumably be sitting their NEWT examinations at the end of the year.
* A new Head Boy and Head Girl will be chosen from their year.
* There will be a new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher.
* Harry will "come of age" in the book (age 17) and will become an adult in the wizarding world. (Hermione will have turned 17 near the beginning, and Ron near the end, of the previous book.)

Rumours

* Rowling has denied two rumoured titles: Harry Potter and the Fortress of Shadows and Harry Potter and the Forest of Shadows. There are also rumours that Voldemort kills Harry but dies also, as they share blood.
* Sibyll Trelawney prophesied that "neither can live while the other survives", so it seems to be fairly certain that either Harry Potter or Lord Voldemort will die in this book. However, Rowling has said on her website that "myself and Madame Trelawney worded the prophecy very carefully", so the outcome is only speculation at the moment. Also, it is possible that the prophecy relates to Neville Longbottom, not Harry.
* Rowling has said that Harry will survive until this book, but refused to say whether he dies in or shortly after it.
* The title Harry Potter and the Quest of the Centaur has been rumored, but only rumored and very unlikely (such rumours are usually far from the actual truth).
* Though this rumour has not been reported anywhere, it is considered quite possible that Severus Snape will be teaching the Defence Against the Dark Arts class in this book.

I take issue w/ these points:

Personally, I doubt Harry's return to Hogwarts.

JK hasn't even written seven yet. What the heck makes you think she even has a title for it yet?

Perhaps you need to reread the section where Snape points his wand at Dumbledore and says those magic words?

What the heck would Lily's back story possibly relate to? You're losing me on this. And if lupin played a big part... we barely saw him twice in six - during which he told Harry snape was a lovely dude, and the second time wondered how on earth snape couldve done it... why nobody noticed that JK had made him evil to harry at every point possible through six whole f'ing books... Geeze, did you notice that they hate each other yet? like enemies maybe?

Well,

I do think there's something to Lily's back story.

We're not done with Petunia. I have no idea what's going to happen, but she still has a few tricks up her sleve. Maybe one grandparent was magical or something.
