Things That Return

I think it's cool how JKR brings things back from other books. Like the Vanishing Cabinet: Remember how in book2, Nearly-Headless Nick Crashed above Filch's office to get Harry outta trouble (Chapter 8: The Deathday Party). The Hand of Glory Malfoy was goggling over in Borgin & Burkes. Riddle's diary being a Horcrux. The image in the Erised mirror not really being Harry missing his family, but the weapon to kill Voldemort. Can't remember anything else, yet...what else is there? There's more, I know...

ya this was a really good thing it really tied in harrys past plus it shows how much has happened and how grown up harry is becoming

Don't forget the Ford Anglia that cam crashing back through the Forest!

I'm pretty sure that I've read interviews in whick JKR has said (or hinted, or refused to deny) that that car, Sirius' motorcycle, and Harry's 2-way talking mirror will make re-appearances in the future.

Yes, it makes it seem like Harry Potter is floating around a solid idea, bringing back old things and new ones, instead of only making items used in the book, I think it makes the Harry Potter series more complicated and fun!

definately i love the fact that i know wat is going on with these ideas cuz i have read the books some ppl have only seen the movies and say they are true harry potter fans but its just not the same if they read this they wouldnt even know about the mirror i really hope she brings these elements back in cuz it will be a great remenisant of our past with harry i really like that idea

One of the most amazing and engaging parts of JK's writing is the complexity of her writing. Most scenes have two things going on simultaiously which constantly effect each other. For example, when her charecters talk to each other they are always doing something in the background like eating, poking a fire, playing with dangerous telescopes.... Both scenes meet each other, change the attitude of the scene and disperse.

JK also comes back to the same things over and over again....

like bezoars? like... heck- there's too many to name. Things come up over and over again in every page.

It the immense complexity that amazes me and makes me love the stories...

Is the Half Blood Prince's potions text book still in the cabinet too (is that where Harry put it)?

Could the book come back in book 7? Is there more Harry could learn in the text book (spells, stuff about his parents)? or is it done
