Who Is R. A. B. ?

yes it is a good theory but how would he have found out it took dumby years of looking to find this bit of info and prove it how would this perrson know better yet how would regulus know sirius said that he was a bit dim so how would he have known all this info he was not imprtant to voldy but hey who knows i may be wrong

Thank you to Buffybuff for hopefully clearing up the Amedeus issue. Literally we were going crazy trying to find out where this tidbit was mentioned. I guess we can stop the search. Also thank you to everyone who read our post (and especially to those who thought it was plausible). Everyone keep sending your ideas in because we love to read them (it may be another 2-3 years before the last book comes out, so guessing will keep us entertained). we hope it is Regulus or someone we know, it would be disappointing for R.A.B. to be a new character. All our theories gone to waste. So keep posting, especially with new or expanded theories, we love to see that reply number go up.
A Very Good Question: If Regulus was so dim, how DID he find out about the Horcrux? Do all dark, ancient wizarding fmilies know about them, is Regulus smarter than his family realized? That note read like it was written by a person of some intelligence.

First of all, Sirius isn't all that complimentary to people he doesn't like. Anyone recalling the Snape Crusade? I wouldn't be surprised if he just discounted his brother as someone intelligent just because he didn't like him. Also, Regulus would have access to all kinds of dark magic. His family is up to their eyeballs in it; it would be ridiculously easy for him to discover what Tom was really up to.

Who would have figured two people could post under the same name at the same time from two different computers? Good point about Sirius' character though, he would just dismiss Regulus, we don't know anyone else's opinion of him

well i think that it will not be regulus i think it will be three characters we already know in passing but not directly i think that they all represent one of the letters and it may even be thier nick name not even thier ral name to protect them from voldy but who knows i hope its not regulus cuz he is supossed to be slow and dead and i think that RAB whom ever they or he or she is that they he she will help harry figure out the secrest of the horcruxes

Interesting but unlikely. Rowling had no reason to mention Regulus in the other books unless it was for this- and she never does anything that may be seen as pointless.

yes she did she was trying to show the difference between how sirius's family was and how he was it set the stage for his friendship with harrys dad he had to be the loner it was an addition to his character
