Jo's said that Lily is not alive and as whatever happened to Lily happened to James first - and we saw their ghost-spell thing come out of Voldemort's wand the same way as v. dead Cedric's ghost-spell - they are dead! Sirius too is dead but Jo hasn't ruled out communication with the dead so (as we've seen before0 Harry may well talk with his dead loved ones again

Peter Petigrew is definately alive. Where has he been?? What's he been up to??? What do you think it's gonna mean??? Has he been huntimg down the HBP, maybe??? Is the HBP another weapon against our Harry do you think???

Okay, are we just supposed to asume that whatever happened to lily happened to james first? What if he wasn't killed by voldy? What if neither of them were? What if he put some some sort of spell on them to make them forget who they are or turn them into fruit loops and they've secretly been locked away in some nut house? After all, with all the spells and curses available to a skilled wizard, there's usually no need to actually kill someone. Just a thought <_<

I've gone back to read the interviews on her site (by the way there is a BRILLANT site called 'Madam Scoops JKR interviews' .. I think??? I can't quite remember now but Mark Evans has put a link to it on this site. Anyway, this site is great 'cause it has organised all Jo's interviews into subjects. So if you wanna know anything that she's said about Hagrid for eg, you pop in his name and WHa LA! it's all there!! Hunt it down. It' v. v. new) Jo has said that Lily and James are dead. But this doesn't mean that we have to take her literally - this'll annoy her! Maybe she meant 'dead to Harry' ??? Maybe you're right Helsing. Maybe their brains are addled, a la Longbottoms, and they will never recognise Harry and don't even know they're magical.

Hey here's a thought, maybe they changed their name to Lily's maiden name Evans, moved to Little Whining by coincidence and Mark Evans (the 10 y/o who got beaten up by Dudders and his gang) is Harry's brother!!!

Here's the thing... When Harry was fighting Voldy echos of the people that had been murdered came out of his wand... Including Harry's mum and dad.

Jo bends the rules beautifully but in this case I think it's pretty clear that Harry's parents are truelly departed.
