Default Well, I for one loved the book.

On this site someone (though I forget who) even said Harry should have died of some rare disease...

Overall I loved the book too.
I've read a lot of different opinions, some love the ending, some do dislike it.
I thought it was a bit overly sweet and not too realisitc - I mean, how many people actually get to stay with their first love, marry them and have kids with them?
But I certainly wouldn't say I hate the epilogue.

well, i think we all like dthe ending, we just didn't exect it to happen like that, we all expected Harry to die of a desease or something so naturally thats' whatwe expecte dan when it ended like that we all we a little shaken, this is my opinoin, no one get mad a me becasue it's different than yours.

I loved the book because I thought Harry deserved it - The fairytale ending.

Nearly 20 years of misery, broken up by a few good meals, a broom,a bird and a couple of good but human friends.

All is well - (the final words) is a reprieve for Harry from his life of solitary destitution.

I liked it because I am hopelessly romantic! Post no slings and arrows 'cause I'm mushy. Again, this is my opinion

FINALLY someone on this site agrees with me! That's exactly what I've been saying! That Harry DESERVES a happy ending.

Perhaps people who dislike the book are simpley more outspoken than those of us who do like it?
I, too am a hopeless romantic who is glad that Harry got a happy ending.

Maybe someone who blasted the epilogue didn't mean to say that they really HATE the ending , in which Harry and others all get a happy life .
They probably was just surprised by how wonderful the magic world became and couldn't accept it when first reading , but might agree that Harry deserved it at last after a period of time .
