but Harry saw the memory of Dumbledore asking Snape - so you care for him after all this time and then Snape sends the doe patronus. That is such a significantly beautiful moment.

To continue to treat Harry in such an appalling manner - YET HE CARED FOR HARRY. How hard would that be? I think the only way Snape could have done so, would have been to focus on his utter dislike of James - the man who ended up with his beloved Lily. That would be the only catalyst that would have worked really.

to be in Voldemort's confidence throughout it all. Snape could not have treated Harry any differently.

THAT (for me) is why Severus was chosen, and why I love that choice.

I don't think he did care for Harry. Or DD, or anyone else particularly. Don't get me wrong. He was brave and did an amazing thing. But I don't believe he was loyal to anyone but Lily and that disappointed me.

yea snape onlyu became upset that harry would die because it was the closest thing to lily he would ever get hewouldnt be able to see her eyes everyyear or everagain and u cant forgive someone who tortued u ur friends for 7 years or so and snape is the least loyal person in the world to anyone but lily if voldemort never kills lily snape stays on voldemorts side so snape has no loyalty to anyone but lily and hes only done 2 good things die and help kill voldemort

I personally loved the book. It was amazing, and honestly, I thought it was the best one of the entire series. Sure, the epilogue was a bit too mushy for my tastes (I personally was hoping for Harry to end up married to Luna, but ahh, it was too good to be true.)

But even good things have bad things hidden within...
I cried when Fred died.

But overall, the book was really good. :]
