Will Harry Potter live or die?

I wish that JKR will not kill off Harry, but it would make sense to end the seriers. However, think of all of the possibilities that could arise if Harry stays alive.....JKR could write about Harry against Draco. What life is like as an Auror. Oh the possibilities!

see u gotta look at what she has said in interviews. she said her readers would be dissapointed, and that this was the last harry potter book she would write. the only way she will completely be able to kill of the series is to kill the main character, and or his archenemy. it just makes sense.

How is it disappointing to have his archenemy die?

I don't want him to die, but I get the feeling he will.

In a recent interview, Jo was asked whether or not she'll write another Harry Potter book. Her answer, in my opinion, answers the question asked by this thread. It's a spoiler folks.

'Harry's story come to quite a clear end in book seven.'

This makes me think he's going to die. Boo.

For a "clear end in book seven" Harry doesn´t have to die or?

A clear end could be Harry settles down in a small house by the sea and has 14 cats, or he could die. And I think it's the latter.

Jo said that his story comes to a clear end. So this means whatever happens,it'll be obvious that it's the end of the story.

JKR likes to give vague answers.

I think Harry's death will be a happy ending.

Not trying to cause a row or upset anyone, but think about who Harry has left in the living world.

DD has gone, his parents are gone, Sirius is gone. Also in an interview JKR gave in the last few days she said that book seven was going to be a 'BLOODBATH' she quickly backtracked but then went on to say that she had killed off 2 people she had intended to keep alive. The liklihood is that at least one of them is going to be dear to Harry, I reckon it could be Hagrid.

If Harry dies he can be reunited with them all, like at the end of Return of the Jedi when you see, Obi Wan, Yoda and Vader all reunited.

In the living world the uplifting ending could be Ron and Hermione finally getting it together at Tonks and Lupin's wedding.

I don't think that Harry will die in the 7th book, at least I hope not! I am clinging on tightly to the hope that JK will stick to the good conquers all thing and let Harry live.
I mean in all of the books Harry has mainly succeeded, why wouldn't he continue to in the next one?

It is something about the prophecy, neither can live while the other survives, just screams horcrux to me.
Also Harry is raging due to his mounting losses, what is left for him if he survives? Can't see him living on his own in a bed sit eating pizza and watching daytime tv.
