you have a very good point time walker and zonko so, so i am going to have to pull my theory on how eyes relate to power but maybe they go along with inportance, or maybe it is just how JK sorts people into groups, what those groups are I have no idea. that question is up for debate

Potterdog: We may both be right. Say Salazar Slytherin had green eyes. Lily Potter had green eyes and so does Harry. Lily Potter may have been the last direct decendant of Slytherin until Harry was born. So whatever powers Harry got from Voldemort were quadrupled because Slytherin blood runs in his veins. I'll have to see what eye color is mentioned for Tom Riddle if any. Did you find an eye color for Voldemort?

I think Voldermort eyes are red, which is probly because of some dark spell that he performed on him self, but remember his magis is always green, But hmm you would have point their on Lilly being related to Salizar, because she was a muggle born, I think Salizar had a line of relative the rebelled and married muggles. I have a new idea for how the end of the book 7 is going to happen, I am sure this has been thought of, but i was reading book 4 last night and I thought that is would be the nicest ending if Harry defeated Voldermort and became the defense against the dark arts teach for the rest of his life, wouldn't that be the best……=) yeah, well I can't wait to see what the curve ball is going to be. But still that would be the nicest ending.

Back to our discussion on eye color, I think Eye’s have mostly to do with Relationship's of Power; I think Harry got Allot from him mom because they mention his eyes all the time. A thought that had occurred to me was that the spell that would due Voldermort in is a hidden power in Harry that come from his mother. Harry will relies this just at the last moment when he is near death, his mom is going to speak to him and tell how to use it. That is my thought on the matter. Which would also be a cool way for JK to end it

Harry's mission is to save the world from evil. He would rather save a kid from a burning building than conduct lessons in fire safety. The life of a teacher is far too restrictive for a hero-wizard action figure (wand sold separately).

Page 52 /Order of the Phoenix reads: "You're an Auror," said Harry impressed. Being a dark wizard catcher was the only career he'd ever consider after leaving Hogwarts.

Dumbledore is convinced that Harry is a more powerful wizard than Voldemort and will grow even stronger as he grows older. Harry has magic that Voldemort has never possessed. Page 843, read the bottom paragraph which begins: "There is a room in the Department of Mysteries..."

That paragraph suggests to me that no matter what Voldemort conjures up to defeat Harry, it will never include the ultimate magic. Voldemort doesn't have it; doesn't understand that it's missing; will always underestimate its value. So Harry not only has all the weapons that Voldemort possesses, Harry has "THE BOMB."

I think that there is something important about Voldemort using Hrry's bllod to return to power in Goblet of Fire. Dumbledore smiled briefly when he heard about it. Does this mean he and Harry are now linked and this will mean Voldemort will die in the end as he can't stand the feelings of love??? Remeber at end of book 5 when he takes over Harry's mind briefly but can't stand it when Harry thinks of his mum and dad?? Think there is somthing there but can't quite work it out. The Phoenix must mean something too?? Both die but only Harry is reborn from ashes??

mabee there is a connection and maby not...

- J.k. is just throwing in detail......
- J.K. has a specific reason to use eye color... maybe it shows that harry has a conection to harry
- J.K. has them in groups by power, rank , inteligens, house.. etc.

potterfreak: There's a whole board of discussion on the topic of Voldemort having Harry's blood in him. I started it but can't remember where I put it ... probably down Diagon Alley somewhere. The discussion begins with that quote from the end of bk4 where Dumbledor has a glint of victory in his eye when Harry tells him about V. using Harry's blood . Go and have a look at other's thoughts and PLEASE contribute your own.

I really really like your Harry/ pheonix analogy. Harry brought out of the ash and destruction of his house and family to find a new 'home' and family both when he was a baby AND when he went to Hogwarts ! AND obviously, there's the whole Harry's wand connection to the pheonix.

surprime witch: JKR has said that the fact that Harry has Lily's eyes and that Lily was good at charms, will be important to the next books. What do you make of that?
She doesn't give clues, she gives torment ! I wouldn't have it any otherway.
