Did my own search on the definition of "hallows" and found something interesting:

The Oct. 31 Greater Sabbat, also called November Eve, the Celtic Samhain ("sow-en"); the beginning of the Celtic winter, and of the Celtic year; the beginning of the Witches' Year, when the Veil Between the Worlds grows thin and the spirits of the dead may return to Earth; the Descent of the Goddess to the Underworld; the final Harvest festival

Not Based on it, no. But some themes are a part of our culture. And some themes just work, like the orphan who knows nothing about his family...
Finding interesting parallels after reading the story is not the same as using them to predict JKR's future story. I don't think it will be helpful in that way.

I'm just trying (like everyone else) to figure out what the Deathly Hallows are.
"The Hallows of Hogwarts" suggests that they are in Hogwarts, whatever they are.
Maybe Hogwarts has an ancient, forgotten mosoleum down below the dungeons or something...

When I think of this, I think of Sirius coming back through the Veil with an army of spirits to fight in the war against Voldemort...maybe that's just because I recently watched LOTR: The Return of the King :P

How about this:

Harry has a near-death experience on Halloween.
While there, he receives insight, tips, instructions from many.
The host -- everyone who has ever been to Hogwarts--
"The Hogwarts Hallows."
Then he spends the next few months following these tips.

People he knows will be right up-front in this host.
Lily, James, Sirius, Cedric, Amelia Bones, Karkaroff, Aragog?
But Dumbledore will not be among them because...

The link worked for me. Just type it in.
But I think it's just hearsay.
Until Rowling sanctions something like that, I would ignore it.
And even then...
