Ok, I heard a very strong rumor that JK Rowling is pretty much done writing the seventh book and is just editing it and that now her publisher is trying very strongly to get the book published July 7, 2007 or 07/07/07. What do you guys think?

I've heard rumors about that, too, but I think it's mostly because people want it to be that way. They want it to be out on 7/7/07 because they think it's the coolest date ever...
Many people think it's highly unlikely that they'lll release the book so close to the release of the movie, though.

Noooo! Why does everybody think it would be cool?

IMO, the 7th book release has to be huge and special, not overshadowed by the release of the 5th movie..because it's the END.

True, the book should be released a month or so after the movie. It would be nice if it was an early relese though...

Ahh, don't talk about the end of Harry Potter. Then again she could release some of the spin offs - character profiles that she's never actually been able to share in the books.

Some insignificant little piece of trash could overshadow the final Harry Potter book?
I don't think so.
I might see the movie, just because I'm a glutton for punishment,
but I won't be first in line.
The books are classics and will be read forever.
The movies will be soon forgotten and eventually remade.

Nope, I still don't get it. What's "IMO?"

Oh, IMO is "In my opinion."

For certain individuals, the movie won't be such a big deal...but I think it will for the majority of HP "fans." The countless number of kids who "like" Harry Potter because it's the biggest trend at the moment...

I just think the release of the next book should stand alone...it'd be more special that way..

But why would you want to wait for who knows how long to finally get behind the mysteries of Harry Potter? Plus, I agree qith Psyduck and I go for the books way more then the movies since their prolly going to ruin the 5th one just like they did with the 4th one. But I'm still going to go see it, curiosity overwhelms me alot

Yeah The books are classics and the movies are less important because many important scenes are removed in it. JRK has told that the movies are up to her expectations because if they start making the movie with the entire story than it would be 24 hours long.
