Can anyone think of two characters that JK had killed off ( in the present day time line of the story) that have the same eye color? My mind is like mush these days, and I can't think of any. Might be a hint of Harry's fate, and Ron's, and... I don't know. Just an idea I had.

Are you sure Siriuses eyes were grey? But this is interesting. Grey eyed people are going down! I don't know if eye colour is important. Maybe it shows what they are like as a wizard. Grey eyed people could be...um...powerful? I don't know. Blue eyes: could mean powerful? Ron. Dumbledore. Black eyes: no idea Hagrid Snape Brown eyes: could mean intelligent. Hermione James Potter Green eyes: don't know Harry Potter Lily Potter Dobby Scarlet eyes: evil Voldemort

Yes, I'm sure...http://www.hp-lexicon.org/wizards/sirius.html

I think eyes are running bits that Rowlling puts in. I mean, she certainly is descriptive about eyes, not just giving us colour but also characteristics of them - whether they're bulging, cold, hurt - etc. Don't know if there's a bit connection between the colours. Maybe Harry's eyes being so like Lily's is a connection - I think Rowling's already suggested that.

[/b][/quote] Rita Skeeter also has green eyes :P I was sure there was someone else with green eyes, but can't find anymore so far...so maybe not. |

As far as "eyes" running bits go I found a good one last night. Though not saying the colour of them, in Will and Won't in HBP Rowling says Vernon Dursley has piggy eyes! I loved that one!

Good question. We aren't actually told. When she's first described in book 5 we're told that they were large, round and slightly bulging. The colour is not there. I'm guessing that if Rowling's not given us this then she could be hiding a subtle clue.
