| I have to read this through and completely, in order to do that my kids have to be sleeping but I wanted to mention something that as while I was scanning through I did not see mention of it. First off, I know once I get a chance to read this through - I would re-think of ideas and thought about Snape and what happened the night. It is extremely good, well written & well thought out. I read this I thought you maight seem to be interested in it and I quoted from the website, "BREAKING DUMBLEDORE IS NOT DEAD NEWS! Is Dumbledore dead or not?! In an interview Saturday in the Guardian, Dan Radcliffe said: 'Jo came down to the set at one point and I said, "Oh hello, why are you here today?" And she said, "Oh I just needed a break from the book - Dumbledore's giving me a lot of trouble." And I said, "But isn't he dead?" And she said, "Well, yeah, but it's more complex ..." I was like, [briskly] "OK, I'm not gonna ask anything else!"' So, it would seem we haven't heard the last of Dumbledore after all, despite JK's public protestations to the contrary!" My question though is is: How does the Unbreakable Vow come into play? I reread the the 6th book, nothing in the Chapter "Spinner's End", maes it clear that Snape knew what he was agreeing to, and meybe that is why he was seen trying to get Draco to tell him. Unless he did know and had to play stupid to Draco? But back to the Unbreakable Vow, Wouldn't Snape have died because he didn't fulfill his end of the vow? I will get a chance tonight to read this through. If I have more questions regarding this I will post it in here for you to see. Also - Psyduck would you like to be my friend also because of really like having a friend who is into HP like me and know more than I do to help me clear up things I jost didn't see for myself or just didn't understand. |

| I did not read this but I read something like it on some dumbledore is not dead sites. Now I am changed about what I thought, after I finish reading 5 & reread 6 again. I am going to start over from one and see if I can help out also. I did read 6 before I read this but that was more along the lines of scimming through the pages to find out info. Now all I have to do is find Snape and apologize for thinking he was a bad guy. lol... |

| They smashed that one cabinet. It would be unreasonable to assume that all of the time-turners on the planet were in that one little cabinet. Quote:
See post #8, above. The timing was all wrong. |
| ||||
| I disagree I think the timing was perfect. Also, how good an actor do you think Snape is? Snape said nothing, but walked forward and pushed Malfoy roughly out of the way. The three Death Eaters fell back without a word. Even the werewolf seemed cowed. Snape gazed for a moment at Dumbledore, and there was revulsion and hatred etched in the harsh lines of his face. "Severus...please..." Snape raised his wand and pointed it directly at Dumbledore. "Avada Kedavra" A jet of green light shot from the end of Snape's wand and hit Dumbledore squarely in the chest. Harry's scream of horror never left him; silent and unmoving, he was forced to watch as Dumbledore was blasted into the air. For a split second, he seemed to hang suspended beneath the shining skull, and then he fell slowly backward, like a great rag doll, over the battlements and out of sight. pg.595-596 of HBP. I think this alone should prove that DUMBLEDORE IS DEAD. |
| ||||
| It just proves that he was alive, especially at the moment in question. If Dumbledore was killed by the Avada Kedavra curse, the body-bind curse should have lifted immediately, allowing Harry to scream on his first impulse. His "scream of horror never left him." Instead, we have several unexplained seconds while five people managed to get through the door. It doesn't work. |
| ||||
| I repeat. What was holding him back after Dumbledore's fall was not magic, but horror and shock. Also, at the end of the next chapter, the book says Harry knew Fawkes had left, and since he has a connection with that bird, I highly doubt that he was wrong. So that's yet another hole in your theory. Also, note that I stressed he fell over the battlements. I repeat: DUMBLEDORE IS DEAD! |
| ||||
| Right..I stayed quiet about this long enough. Mostly because I've talked about it so much already. Take a peek at my previous posts anywhere. I've seen some of you going at it for a while now. So here's my two cents again. I have never seen a killing curse blast someone off of their feet and into the air..like the one that DD was hit with. And I've seen them being cast by Voldemort amongst others. Its in the books. Have you ever heard of a masked curse. The curse that has been seen most throwing people backwards and into the air is Expelliarmus(sp). There is a pretty sound theory that such an unspoken curse was hidden behind the killing curse said aloud by Snape so vehemently. As for 'how good an actor do you think Snape is?'. We must be reading different books lol. Cause the ones I've read show Snape as a pretty good actor playing both sides the way he does. Fawkes. The bird which sensed that Harry needed him when Harry was in the pits of the castle and it was in the Headmaster's chamber in the upper tiers. The bird that came from nowhere to the Ministry to aid Dumbledore against Voldemort of all people .. where it just happened to chow down an Avada Kedavra curse. Where in the world was this amazing bird when Snape came at DD with his own killing curse. I guess it just stuck around to cry a little aterwards 'cause it was sad that it always happened to be in the wrong place when someone it really cared for needed it and it can't really sense if its friends are in any real danger or not. The Phoenix song has healing features by the way. Harry sensed that Fawkes had left. And I believe that Harry sensed right. His connection with the bird is strong. Could the bird have left with Dumbledore..did anyone see a body burn at the funeral? I ask something new for a change. If a body can be transfigured into a bone? I'm talking about Crouch here. Those who read the books should know that. Can the reverse be done. Can any old object be transfigured into a body..a dead one? I believe the students were learning to turn tea kettles into turtles..or such..and they were live animals methinks. |
