| i have to agree that the description of Dumbledore's death and funeral do indicate the possibility that DD is either still alive or that Rowling's going to give him a resurrection. However, Harry needs to believe that he's dead and we are sort of told why in there: so he won't hide behind someone when it comes to facing Voldemort. |

| Thats right dumbledore knows that it has to be harry that defeats voldemort and if dumbledore is there harry will look to him for all the answers and wont get anything done himself. |
| |||
| i realize that harry dosent hide behind people but he does listen to dumbledore and dumbledore if he remains where he was he might have worried to much for harry and forbidden him to fight. Harry waited for dumbledore to find the horcruxes, maybe dumbledore wants harry to find the rest alone. If dumbledore had not been "killed" harry probably would have waited for him to find the horcruxes. I never said he hid behind people (*but you cant say without the propper motivations he dosent work to his fullest potential) *im not sure exactly if i can prove this nor what it actually means it could have different meaning than what i thought but i believe in it And harry really isnt that good at occulemency is he? He may not want to practice.... he should it may help but he probably dosent see why he needs it anymore. |

I do like the idea of the D.A. learning it -- they all may need it in the end. |

[/b][/quote] where does the veil lead? Everyone that night apart from Harry knew what it was? Will it be in book 7 ? |

| Here is something possibly related to the veil that I thought to be interesting. It's from Rowling's "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them:" Lethifold In appearance, a Lethifold is similar to a black cloak approximately half an inch (13 mm) thick, somewhat thicker if it has recently digested a victim. A Lethifold is carnivorous, gliding along the ground and possibly other surfaces in an unknown mode of locomotion in search of prey to suffocate and digest. The only reported prey is humans (including wizards), and the only known spell capable of repelling a Lethifold is the Patronus Charm. As it generally attacks sleeping victims, however, few manage to actually apply this knowledge. The first recording of a Lethifold was by the Wizard Flavius Belby. With its cloaklike appearance and susceptiblity to the Patronus Charm, a Lethifold is similar to the Dementor, but unlikely to be actually related to it in the biological sense because, as Rowling has stated, dementors do not reproduce biologically. The Lethifold is a mercifully rare denizen of the tropics, and has yet to appear in the main novels. These creatures are very similar to cloakers from Advanced Dungeons and Dragons which look like cloaks and attempt to consume the people who wear them. |
