Love And The End Of Voldemort

So, what does that mean?
Did she say anything along those lines in a book?

I wonder what Slughorn was referring to on page 177 of the Bloomsbury edition of HBP when he said, "When you have seen as much of life as I have you will not underestimate the power of obsessive love."
What had Slughorn seen to convince him of that? I just wonder if the stuff on the love potion and Slughorn's statement that you can't manufacture love will have something to do with Voldemort's downfall?

I think that he was jsut referring to the days when he was forced to be a deatheater, ya kno, but maybe not.

Yeah he was in hiding wasn't he? I don't think it mentions why but someone was searching for him and he had to keep moving house. It doesn't surprise me that the Death Eaters would want him on their side. He's in a powerful position. And maybe Voldy was worried about him revealing his Horcrux secret to DD, which we all know he did.

Dunno if he was ever a Deatheater though, or forced to be one, like under the Imperius curse. I mean look at his reaction to Snape killing Voldemort - he was shocked. I'm guessing he was in hiding because of the horcrux issue. I guess it would be interesting to know how his life was earlier. Like, was he ever married? (maybe his wife wasn't famous enough to rate a mention) or was someone obsessively in love with him? Maybe someone bought him a roomfull of candied pineapple!!! LOL!

thats interesting beacuse when quirell(sp?) could touch harry i thought that as soon as vold put harrys blood in him it would act more like a poison then strength him against harry!?

I "love" the idea of the dementor's "kiss" upon Voldemort...and it fits.

Harry destroys the remaining horcruxes and the final piece of V's soul is unceremoniously sucked out by a dementor.


If this is how it goes, then Harry doesn't have to kill anyone, except Bellatrix Lestrange, Narcissa Malfoy, Lucius Malfoy, Draco Malfoy, Severus Snape, Dolores Umbridge, every remaining Death Eater, that really bad werewolf guy, the acromantulas, Norbert, the picture of Sirius Black's mum, Kreacher, the merpeople, Argus Filch, the centaurs, Mrs. Figg's cats, the whomping willow, Percy, that freakin' golden snitch, Crookshanks, a niffler, Sir Codugan, some of those tentacle brains, a couple of garden gnomes and...Dobby (just for the heck of it).

Geez, book 7 looks like a blood bath if you ask me.
