| I was thinking the same thing about Dumbledore staying awake all that time. I would have thought he'd have fallen asleep. But i admire you Mione for going to all that trouble to come up with all that. You must read it all really carefully. By the way, didn't Snape shout Avada Kedavra? I'm sure it appeared in capital letters in the book, the British version anyway. |

| This is a very interesting and quite well thought, but I'm with the others here in asking "If it was the Draught of Living Death why was he awake the whole time?" And yes, Snape did say the havad kadavara out loud, but that doesn't mean that is the spell he cast. Silent spells have been heavily emphasized in this book. He very well could have cast another spell silently and said "havada kadavara." Especially since we already know you can't merely say the words to the havada kadavara, you have to really mean it, really hate someone. So Snape just saying it if he was really casting anther spell woudn't have affected anything. |

I mean, he's really good at acting the part, isn't he? He's had to be a spy for so long. . . Anyway, what if it wasn't hate for Dumbledore, but hate for Voldemort, or for things getting so out of hand? We can't judge by someone's expressions, because we never know what's actually going on in their heads. . . |

How long have you been here? June of '05!!!! We've been through all that. The language of that passage has been compared to the part where Harry hated himself for forcing Dumbledore to drink the potion. Hated himself for following Dumbledore's orders. It uses almost the same words. |
