'scar'

I have done some reading and found out that the last word in the 7th book is 'scar'.

It has been confirmed by JK herself.

What do you think that this could mean?
Does it mean that Harry is going to live?
Or is he defeated by Voldemort?

It seems like a lot of people think that Harry is a horcrux and for that reason has to die.... but how is harry able to defeat him then if he dies before being able to get to the 7th part of his soul? JKR also said that the last chapter is sort of an epilogue where she catches everone up to date on what happens to those surviving - so maybe it means that he does survive? Hmm... so in answer to your question I don't know - not very helpful huh?!

Well, it wasn't extremely helpful but it did give me somthing to think about.

I heard that the last sentence is "Harry, what's happened to your scar?". Something along those lines anyway.
By the way, i've come up with a theory to squash the Harry being a Horcrux mania. Why would Voldy want to destroy his own Horcrux?

Yeah, I agree with you there is no way Harry could ever be a Horcrux.
1) As you said why sould Voldemort want to destroy his own horcrux especially if it would lead to weakening him and killing him.
2) JK said that he wasn't a horcrux somewhere in a interview I read once.

I don't know why you think you can derive whether or not Harry is going to die from the last word in the title being "scar."

As I've said in other places, Harry won't die, and of course Voldemort will.

As for the last sentence of the book. I doubt that's it, but it could be. More likely, it's a rumor someone just made up.

No, it's not JK said in an interview as a hint to what's to come.

When I said something about a rumor, I was referring to what someone said was the last sentence of the book. I know "scar is going to be the last word.

What I meant about "scar" was that just because it's in the title, doesn't mean the word "scar" is a clue to who dies or not.

She didn't promise. She said it would probably be.

Anyway, my theory (did I post this one yet?) is that
A new "famous witches & wizards" trading card will be released,
and the caption under Harry's picture ends with the word, "scar."
