That is definately true.

I just would be sooooooo disappointed if it turns out that Dumbledore was pleading for his life. I think that is COMPLETELY out of character! It just just makes much more sense to me that he was pleading for Snape to kill him as part of a bigger plan. Whatever the case may be (dead or alive) I really don't think Dumbledore would plead for his life - maybe Harry's life - but not his own.

Exactly! He would die for Harry, just like Lily did! Can you say..."Circle of Protection from the Greatest Wizard since Merlin!?!?!"

That is if Dumbledore really died that night of course...just exploring the possibilities.

Wouldn't you just be gutted if it turns out at the end of the 7th book, that Snape was evil and he killed Dumbledore on LV's orders. Just wouldn't make sense. It doesn't fit that DUMBLEDORE who has stated that death is just the next adventure, would plead to live. Nah, not buyin that.

Dumbledore lives. I kinda thought that he had horcrux. But am now convinced that he and Snape staged the death scene. There may have been a silent expelliarmus curse hidden behind Snape's killing curse that threw Dumbledore off the tower. The killing curse doesn't knock people around. Look at "Proof: Dumbledore not dead" there's an article there with more detailed proof that Dumbledore staged his death.

I think that Dumbledore was pleading for Snape to kill him right then, because he knew that Snape did not wish to perform the killing curse on Dumbledore (masked or no) its a dangerous curse to fool around with. Though not dead Dumbledore must have been badly injured. That fall itself could have been fatal. Kinda like Gandalf's fall in LOTR as he fought that balrog.

We live to hope and hope to live. But Dumbledore lives that is certain. The series becomes too mundane without him.

ok this is my thoughts the entire book is based around the fact that you can cast no verbal spells and snape is thebest at it.... well think about it if snape said avada cadavera but thought a different spell perhaps one that shows alll the signs off death but without death, then maby hes not dead..... also the picture of dumbledore in his office is still asleep the say that a picture will only wake up when some one dies..... second harry is covered no one can see him so how did any freeze him on the towere maby i was dumble dore (non verbal) Maby him and snape had a plan to get snape inside of the death eaters "gang" so he could get inside info..... many thats why in the order of pheoniques harry was not aloud to listen to snapes conversations because voldemort can maby read harrys thoughts.... also not one time has the killing curse ever sent some one flying backwards it always just killed them.... well it flung dumby off the tower........ alsothis is off topic but...... the innnitials in the lockit are sirriuses brothers

This is a terrific theory and one of the best I've heard yet. I didn't even think of the occlumency partition. This puts everything into a new perspective. Thank you for this.
