Has anyone else seen the huge resemblance between Aslan from the Chronicles of Narnia to Dumbledore? And my point about this is going to make the people who believe Dumbledore is still alive very happy. He was supposed to die on the Stone Table, and he was scared even though he thought that he might die because he didn't know for sure if it would work. And then Susan said something like they should trust him to know that he knew what he was doing, and then he came back to life! Now of course, the situation with Dumbledore is actually completely different, but I would like to see your views on the matter.

I dont want to be the one to shoot down a theory but...Acording to JKR, characters that are dead dont come back to life. I'm not exactly sure where it is at the moment but i read and interview where she specificly said this. But to give those "dumbledores alive" hopefuls, if hes not really dead then he cant come back to life!! Therefore, he could still be alive!

Thats awful. I take it all back(j/k). Anyways, he could still be alive. If he was never dead, he cant come back to life. Therfore(remember this, i've said it before.lol.) he could still be alive and just in hiding somewhere....maybe...i hope...PLEASE!!

Cs Lewis was a great writer, just like Tolkin and yes, after she dies JK will be recognized as great too and will then begin to become a classic. Until the works are finished, it is premature to just run parralell Dumbldor to Aslan. If you read Lewis, Aslan is Jesus Christ dieing for a traitor and the children- Lewis tells us he is writing a moral tale. JK has said she is not trying to make a moral tale but a good book. Please don't think Dumbldor will come back because Aslan can come back. Think more about what Dumbldor said, he knows about the locked door in the department of mysteries, the door covering love. Voldemort said that Dumbldor chose that branch of magic to study (he must have worked there) and would never use a horcrux - voldemort uses evil and destroys his soul to bits - Dubldor would never destroy part of his soul nor do we see him kill anyone but only offers forgiveness making people indebted to him stronger than voldemort. A bettter case would be Dumblodor never died because of his forgiveness to Prof. Snape, as he offered forgiveness to Drako and never died therefore doesn't have to be coming back but is back. But I still believe that he died willingly to save Harry.
