I see no reason for Kreacher to be particularly loyal to Voldemort.
All of the Blacks liked him until they realized what he was really about.
This implies that THEY ALL changed their minds about him later.
Kreacher would have gone along with them. His loyalty was, and is, to his mistress.

I agree completely.
I've checked up on the Borgin and Burke thing. . .it's neither of them. I've also checked on Amelia Bones and pretty much everyone else mentioned (though I have to admit I never thought of Madam Rosmerta, but it so obviously can't be her. I also thought of Andromeda Black, but can't verify much.) and it's none of them (I'm pretty sure) . I read that Jo isn't introducing any new characters in book 7, so it must be Regulus Black.

How did you "check up on" Borgin and Burke, Amelia Bones and pretty much everyone else...?

Haven't gotten too far. . .can only say that Burke's name is Caractarus. Haven't read about Borgin yet, but he isn't dead, is he? Although, I suppose the person doesn't have to be dead, he (or she) just expected to be. . .
I've made a list of everyone with a last name that begins with a B (that I remember or have seen in book 6):

Marcus Belby (student)
Ludo Bagman
Katie Bell (student)
Blotts (Flourish and Blotts)
Libatius Borage (someone Slughorn mentioned)
Lavender Brown (student)
Melinda Bobbin (don't remember who she is)
Amy Bensen and Dennis Bishop (orphans that Tom Riddle traumatized)
Amelia and Susan Bones (pretty sure I read Amelia's middle name somewhere, but I can't remember where)

I may have missed some, I'm just a little more that halfway through the 6th book. . .anyway, back to this exhausting task. . .
