| The Fortescue one is a good question. I mean, all that we're told in book 3 apart from his giving Harry free Sundaes every half-hour is that he knew a lot about Medieval Witch burnings and this helped Harry with his homework (imagine it, having homework in the Summer Holidays, reckon I would have gone in strike if my teachers did it to me). |

We know that he was NOT working for Voldemort at the time Harry bought his wand. He would not have given Harry that useful information about his wand's brother, but would have given it to Voldemort. Five years later, I still don't believe that he would turn bad. |

| Plus Olivander reckoned in book one that Voldemort did great things, terrible things, but great. Why would he add in the terrible clarification if he were on Voldemort's side? I mean, we've never seen Malfoy or people of his ilk do it. They would just say that Voldemort was doing the right thing in his quest for power and to purge the wizard world of non-pure bloods. |
