Don't you think it's weird that Deatheaters had no troubles torturing the Longbottoms and many others in order to get information and yet feel they HAVE to abduct Olivander??? I think Voldy could have just looked up a book to find out about the 'duelling wand brothers' bizzo.

I said before that I think Olivander is hiding out.
He just strikes me as too smart to wait around.

Fortesque and Oilivander go missing at around the same time. They both keep shops in Diagon Alley. fortesque seems to have put up a fight while Olie is just.. gone (psyduck's theory is looking good). What's up with that!?? Olie is obviously insightful and, using our imaginations, it's pretty easy to see him aas being an important guy to have on your side. All we know about Fortesque is that he has a handy amount of knowledge about history AND ice cream. hmmm???

Though, maybe we're blowing the whole ice cream guy thing way outta proportion.
