what's the deal with the new minister of magic and will he have a very important role in the 7 th book? he keeps trying to get harry to be a poster boy for the ministry like thats really going to help anything. then he keeps trying to weasel info from harry and look down upon dumbledore. this guy isn't very bright! when they say he used to be a auror or whatever it gave me hope that the ministry was going to be in good hands, but not getting all the help he can get from dumbledore and giving off the impression that he doesn't get along with dumbledore reaaly make him look like he care more for staying in office then getting rid of voldermort. there's just something fishy about that guy almost umbridgey, not a deatheater but not good either.

It seems that every Minister of Magic has a problem with Dumbledore, and they also all seem to be more concerened with appearences than dealing with real problems. This can result in more problems in the magical world.

I agree with you it seems that both the old and the new Minister of Magic's think that the appearance of everything being A OK seems to be better than taking charge and getting to the bottom of the nasty business that is going on with Voldemort and the Deatheaters.

I think the new minister isn't going to have a big part in the next book but the fact he was an auror and then decided to become minister is definately a stupid idea coz aurors are alot better than ministry work. He must of had a good reason for becoming minister or hes just stupid.

it is kinda bad to b and auror and then come to office, because if you've landed people in azkaban, right? then, if there's a breakout, they'll all come after you! so, he's in a dangerous spot right now, and i'm also feeling that fishy feeling about him.

he isn't very bright, is he? harry said it when they were walking through the garden at the burrow. 'either there's fudge, pretending everything is fine and dandy when people are being murdered under his nose, or there's you, who catches the wrong people to make it look like you're doing something.' that's not the exact wording, but i think it's close. scrimgeour should be a good minister of magic, but they haven't done much... all you hear in the Prophet are deaths, and only a few captures of people who aren't likely to be death eaters. like stan shunpike. why the heck would he capture stan shunkpike????? it's crazy! i think he would be a better minister if he gave hearings and stuff to people who they think might be up to dark activities!
