I Have A Rab Issue

he must have had help right.. it says u cant do it by yourself any thoughts on this or ideas of how he did or who helped

I have come to the conclusion that R.A.B. is definitely Sirius's younger brother Regulus Black. Also, he had help from Kreacher to get the locket. If you read carefully in OoP it says an item they found at Grimmauld Place was a "heavy locket that none of them could open" and in HBP Merope's locket was described as "heavy". Kreacher would have had to obey Regulus, as he is a member of the Black family and Kreacher obeys the Blacks. It must be Kreacher and now Kreacher has the locket - he kept trying to sneak things out whilst they were cleaning the house in OoP. He was most likely sworn to secrecy by Regulus (whose middle name I believe to be Alphard, after his Uncle that is also mentioned in OoP). Kreacher would have been able to get on the boat in the cave because he is a house elf and Voldemort wouldn't deem them powerful enough to get that far, or magical enough either - just like under-age wizards. Regulus would also have referred to Voldemort as the "Dark Lord" because he was a Death Eater. Also, Regulus has been dead 16 years now and in the note within the locket it says the writer will long be dead.

I completely agree. I can't think of any other character (even one that has not yet been introduced) who would be this R.A.B. Of course, you know, we're all just theorizing here; it could be any one person. We'll see in the new book.... which hasn't even been written yet. Gahh!! The waiting is going to kill me!

i think that you are definatly on to somthing although if it ends up being a charater we dont already know then i definatly think that R.A.B. stands for three people but im pretty sure that the boat could not take three magical people even if two of them were squibs

I have a theory that RAB is part Regulus and part of somebody else

Cuz regulus couldnt do it alone, he would have to have some help possibly kreacher cuz Voldemort would probably disreguard a house elf as a threat like he disreguarded underage wizards with the locket horcrux

One problem w/ my theory tho is that the letter said "I" not "we"or "us" so the letter refers to only one person not 2 or 3

so like the book knda contradicts itself or I am wrong (it wouldnt be the first time) lol

oh wow thats a great theory!i never thought of him. i dont know about kreacher though. does anyone know if it got destroyed? didnt r.a.b. say they were gonna destroy it? i dont think r.a.b. is 3 people cause it said "i will be long dead. i cant wait for the next booooooooooooooooooooooook!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
