I have an idea about the identity of the Half Blood Prince -- because I personally think that the obvoius reasons given in book 7 are just too neat and tidy. I am, of course, drawing conclusions based on assumptions and guesswork, so I apologize if I get too far off the mark. assuming the following are true: 1) Snape, as a child, grew up in a low-income family 2) Hogwarts routinely keeps a small stock of old, used textbooks, for underpriveledged students (and the occassional one who forgot their own) and , of course, we know Snape's mother's maiden name was Prince... That textbook could have been around long before Snape: it could have been Voldemort's originally. I say that because Volde seems quite happy to leave behind items from his past that might help him, or someone else, continue Salazar Slytherin's "noble work". If we assume (it's a reach, I know) that that's all true, then the nickname of Half Blood Prince takes on more the role of a tradition. Volde started it by jotting down some curses and spells, Snape got the book and added to it, now Harry has it. Any thoughts? |

| I always thought snape was still a bad guy but I never knew y dumbledore trusted him so much....I was highly shocked when he killed dumbledore though I couldnt believe it....but yeah like someone said b4 I did gain a little respect 4 malfoy because if the others wouldnt have come when they did malfoy might have actually turned...well good lolz but as 4 snape....i really dont know wut to think of him now i mean is he good pretending to be bad? did him and dumbledore actually plan his death? was snape just closing his mind so well that even dumbledore couldnt get into his thoughts and see his true desires? |

| I've never really liked snape... Ever since book one. Ever since I met the greasy [bum]. When Harry blasts his sorry [bum] all over the pavement in book seven, I'm going to drop the book, jump up and down cheering. I can hardly wait... |
