I'm new on this site, but I was wondering if those that went back to reread the family tree info in Order of the Pheonix noticed that it the items that they were throwing out a locket was mentioned. Specifically, "a heavy locket that none of them could open" (pg116), seems to me that Mundungus may have hocked a pretty important item. Anyone agree?

Thank you so much, I always enjoy being called "Brilliant." So perhaps Regelus wasn't powerful/knowledgable enough to destroy?? Perhaps we will find in Kreacher's shrine to the Blacks?? I also thought that maybe the RAB is Uncle Alphard and that we are left to speculate what the R stood for. Then that would leave an opening for Harry to find and use powerful "good" magic from the Black house in the future.

Hey perhaps Mundungus was bringing the locket to Dumbeldore when Harry stumbled upon him in hogsmeade. So perhaps Dumby knew they were going after a fake the whole time. Perhaps he really wanted Harry to see the note.

well it is possible that the locket is in number 12 but that doesnt mean that mundungus took it it coukd still be there we never know maybe that is the importance of harry inheriting the house and everything in it but how long would the locket have had to have been there for regulus to have taken ut we dont know wen the original was taken it may have been the day b4 haryy and dumby were there whos to say
