Book 6

Oh MY GOD what a book, i finished it in 10 hours straight thru from 2pm on the 16th. it was amazing and breathtaking, books like these dont come along every day and people should appreciate that magnitude of its greatness. i was actually moved to tears at the end and im sure i was not the only one. i gues we all knew that snape was an evil GIT and was involved with Voldmort in some way or form but i couldn't figure out how Dumbledore didn't catch on. Harry and Ginny are such a cute couple and she suits harry as she isn't a wimp like the ron. even though they split up i think its enevitable that they end up together. im not sure how JK Rowling is going to end the saga without Dumbledore or HOGWARTS if the ministry get their way and who would they chose as headmaster. mc Gonagall would do i supose.
i would appreciate any other thoughts
im tired now so i think i'll go to bed

this was an amazing book and i too wonder how they will finish w/o dumby but it cant end w/o hogwarts the ministry will not get their way too many ppl will see that they need as much education as possible if they r gonna defend themselves it is impossible to end hogwarts and i cant wait to see wat harry finds out about his family wen he goes to godrics hollow on his mission

i didn't read the book as yet but i plan to. i can't wait!!. right now i have to concentrate on exams sooooo i can't read anything but my textbook so i would read it soon DUMBLEDORE DIES!!! i knew it i knew it snape was evil. hary and ginny!!i wanted him and luna but anyway still a great couple.

But wouldn't it be an interesting twist if old Dumbledore knew about the plans and his begging in the end was a last insistance for Snape to kill him? If you want to look at the grand scheme of things here, Snape didn't kill anyone except Dumbledore. He had Flitwick, Granger and Ginny under his thumb- and including his extreme dislike of Granger and anything Weasley- how could he have not done *anything* when he had the option?
His cover was going to be blown anyway, right? What difference did it make if he took out a blood traitor and Mudblood? It doesn't make sense.
Not to mention, both Dumbledore and Snape are skilled wizards in ligilimens. What's to say Dumbledore didn't tell him to do it in his last few moments? He was fully able, even weak and without a wand. And even in the face of death, do you really think Dumbledore would *beg*?

i have not finished the book but i really did find the 1st and 2nd chapter very interesting, i was hooked! Snape in the bad side that was a shock and someone told me dumbledore dies so u guys already know this but i am really exited about this book and i want 2 finish this book asap!!!

i finished book 6 this morning @ 5.30am this book was so amazing i couldn't stop reading i am devastated about dumbledore dying by the habd of sanpe aka the halfblood prince i really hope ginny and harry are able to go out again maybe she'll him and ron and hermione on his quest i hope hogwarts opens in the next book i just want JKR to hurry up with the seventh book i want to know

heyyy ppl....i just finished readin da buk....well it was completely different from rest of da hp books!!...i guess snape aint on da bad side.. . wat if dumbledore actually pleaded snape to kill him??!!!...dat sounds sensible!!....well,i guess there's no school next year...n we just can't t imagine,harry out der tryin to search for the horcruxes while the rest of his gang stay at school n STUDY!!!... ..newayz we gotta wait for next two years to read the last installment.. ....

Of course each time a new Harry Potter is released i feel the same way! I realised that being 16 and having read the first book in 1997 at age 8 that I have been reading these books for half my life! And yet everytime I am shocked.

I am so at odds at what to think about Snape. It seems so clear that he is evil, yet the idea that Dumbledore wanted Snape to kill him, as perhaps Snapes role with Voldemort was more important (and he made that unbreakable vow) also makes some sense. But I just don't know if I'll ever be able to forgive him, even if Jo makes him good...

The rest of the book was equally fantastic of course, however I just can't get my mind off that tear jerking ending!

Or the oher way around: that powerful force Harry has may be able to keep him alive beyond the veil.
