dumboldore is dead....you can't come back from the death curse. And Snape had opportunity to kill harry, and didn't. snape and dumboldore have a plan, and i don't believe snape is really on voldemorts side. i think we're all in for a surprise. and harry and ginny will get back together when voldemort is defeated.

I am pretty sure that he is dead. But I have a hard time thinking how Harry is going to be able to complete this on his own. ....

First off he wont be on his own: Ron and Hermione will allways help him!
Secondly: When Harry was paralised why the heck didnt he try a non-verbal spell!!????
And lastly: Im kinda hoping that Dumbledore left some type of horcrux but then again i dont think he would have killed....

personally i think dumbeldore will be more useful dead. I think he wanted Snape to do it. Think of going back and forth to paintings and what not to report to the order?..

If you look at what he was saying to Draco before he died, I think Dumledore's pleading was for Snape to kill him. He realized that it would be a 2 for 1 deal. It would save Snape from the unbreakable vow, and also leave Draco innocent. As much as i despise Draco, he is more talk than anything else. He didn't have it in him to kill Dumledore. He was truly only doing it to save his own life and his mothers. But when it came time he was unable to do it. I think Dumbledore was begging Snape to get it over with before the other deatheaters could talk Draco into doing it. Snape's argument with Dumbledore (HBP pgs. 404-405) is misleading if you look at it wrong. I feel he is wanting to either stop being a spy for Dumbledore, or doesn't want to go through with something they have planned. I think he is sinscere with Dumbledore, and his attitude toward Harry is a mix of both cover story, and his feelings towards Harry's father.

The more I think about it, the more I'm sure he's dead as well, karma.* I like the idea that maybe he left something behind for Harry that can still guide him, like memories or a diary or something.* Or I think there can be a way that he can still be there for Harry when the time comes for him to kill Voldemort...I'm thinking of the end of Goblet of Fire when all of the people V killed came out of the wand and gave Harry encouragement and direction...maybe something like that will take place in a moment when Harry really needs him.* The other thought I had is that maybe Fawkes will eventually end up with Harry.* It wouldn't be the same as having Dumbledore back, but it would be something that Harry could hold on to when he needs to feel strong.* I think D is really dead, but I don't think that has to mean we've seen the last of him.

I think that he he will be able to guide everyone including members of the order with his protraite in the headmasters office - that is if he is truelly dead.
