| Hello, Ok this is my first post but with all these great theories I just thought I would throw mine out there. I don't think Dumble is dead. 1) We never got a clear reason why he trusted Snape??? The reason Harry sights is just to weak for Dumble to go with. even if you do see the best in people that is just to weak. 2) Snape's vow is to protect Malfoy 3) Dumble offers Malfoy protection and even says "He can not kill you if you are already dead" To me he is offering to fake Draco and his families death....Why would it be such a stretch to fake his own. If Voldy thinks he is out of the way he is free to search out the other Horcrux. It just seems there is a theme of faking in this book. Harry faked out Ron with the Felix potion and so on......That seems to be the only reason he would have frozen Harry. Somehow he knew and wanted Harry to not interfer so that everyone would believe him dead..Other wise Dumble could have lifted the spell and Harry could have disarmed Malfoy, they could have flown down from the roof before the other Deatheaters ever arrived at the rooftop....Just my thought As for RAB I don't think it is Rgulas Black.. I think it may be someone in the Black family (maybe the Uncle who left him the money?) but I don't think Regulas was a smart enough wizard to get in there alone. Or maybe one of the founders of Borgin and Burkes? Although they seem to scared of LV? |

| I truely believe professor dumbledore has gone on to the unknown, thats how the books are going someone close to harry died in 5,6 and somebody major will probably die in 7. there is definitly something off about dumbledore but what if j.k decided in the beggining of writing this book that he would die and it affected how she wrote about him, you know not the strong, smart and all knowing dumbledore were used to but a fragile,hurt and wondering man. then theres snape, the battle at the end when snape and the death eaters are fleeing and he's freaking out about harry calling him a coward put me off like he was just as ashamed at what he did, heres an interesting theory what if this piece off evidence or whatever that dumdledore never shared with harry or anyone about why he trusted snape, is the key to everything and what if say dumbledore and snape had a unbreakable vow between eachother, like if your position is comprimised in front off the deatheaters(because it is highly likely that snape is still on the good side i.e his hesitation on the last agreement made with narcissa)then dumbledore wants him to kill him or do whatever it takes to not comprimise his position. then again if snape really is bad then it put him in a even bigger position of power with voldermort. the whole pleading at the end didn't bother me because either dumbledore already knew he was dying from drinking the potion and wanted snape to kill him or when he realized his trust was misplaced in snape he was saying serveus please like saying say it aint so to put your trust in someone to the degree dumbledore did and it being thrown in his face i totally understood him pleadind like that . is the portrait of dumbledore going to offer a lot of assitence in the next book , becuase the portraits clearly still can act on their own accord, so will D still help prepare harry some how? cuz i can't believe that harry will all of a sudden become this powerful wizard, he barely managed to properly defend himself against snape while he was chasing them. |

Hey if Snape had really wanted Dumby dead he could have let the curse on Marvolos ring do him in. Dumby told Harry if it was not for quick action on Snapes part he probably would not have made it. Here was a chance for Snape to just let him die and appear innocent yet he passed it up. |

| Here are a few theories .... When Harry was running after Snape, Snape was using Occulmens (sorry about the spelling) in order to know what Harry was casting at him as well as when to block it. He tells Harry this as a warning so that he may be better prepared against Riddle. He only becomes aggressive with Harry when Harry calls him a coward. I think the reason for this is that Snape has been forced by Dumbledore to kill Dumbledore (the very thing that Snape and Dumbledore were arguing over when Hagrid overheard them) hence the look of loathing and when he does it (not directed at Dumbledore but the act he has been sworne to follow through on). The other reason I think Snape becomes visibly upset at Harry calling him a coward is that Dumbledore sacrificed himself not for Draco or Snape, but for Harry (Snape and Draco being side benefits in Dumbledores mind). I believe that Dumbledores sacrificial death has somehow cast another spell on Harry similar to the protection his mothers love provided and is somehow tied to the locket Harry now carries. Going back to the retrieval of the crux, I believe Dumbledore staged the entire thing. I believe he knew the crux was already missing and also knew exactly what to expect. That he had to drink the potion in order to become weaker so that he could be killed. I think he had to die because of the prophecy .. 'neither can live while the other survives' (close enough). Harry and Riddle would end up killing each other if Dumbledore had not died in order to prevent Harrys death. Still working on a few others ... |

| What if Dumbledore was Snape and Snape (or Peter Pettigrew) was Dumbledore ??? Not necessarily by the Polyjuice potion or maybe it was. Dumbledore (Snape or Peter) had to drink the potion in the cave, and shortly after Harry got to his office he wanted to leave for the cave. Not much time passed from the time the potion was consumed until 'Dumbledores' death, at least that I could perceive, should have been les than an hour anyway. While he was drinking the potion Dumbledore says in a voice that Harry has never heard before 'don't hurt them its my fault hurt me' (close enough) among other incoherrent un - Dumbledore like moaning. This could elude to either Peter or Snapes betrayel of Harry's parents. Snape could have told Dumbledore about the book of the half blood prince which would explain why 'Snape' or Snape told Harry who the half blood Prince really was. It would also explain the un - Dumbledore like behavior. It would also explain why Snape only gave Harry a detention for his attack on Malfoy instead of seeking his expulsion like he usually does. It also explains Snapes never ending animosity towars Harry (and Peter) a constant reminder of the mistake that he made. Kind of weak, but the only theory I can come up with that would keep Dumbledore alive at the moment. Still working on others |

| A bit more to add to my last post ... Would also explain why 'Dumbledore' was adament on seeing Dumbledore instead of Pomfrey. Any why Harry never got a resonable explanation about Dumbledores bad hand and Snapes involvement with it. Would also explain the un - Dumbledore like pleading right before 'Snape' utters the killing curse. |

| well im not so sure about all of this i would love to believe that our dumby isnt dead but it just seems highly unplausible i would love for dumby to come back but i truly believe that snape is on the dark side all these theorys would work if someone other then dumby and snape knew about them otherwise no one from the order or anywhere else will ever trust him again he is dead to whomever finds him cuz everyone knows they need dumby i just dont know why dumby would set up such and elaborate sheem and not tell anyone else in case something else went wrong im not really sure but i really hope one fo u is rite as i am reluctant to believe our dumby is dead |
| |||
| yes he was but y is wat we are all wondering and though there are many theorys we have nothing but speculation i so wish jk didnt take so long wit these books they are so good and i am so impatient |
