Half Blood Prince Is........

I beleive that the half blood prince is Hagrid, I read it on a website awhile ago and it sounds right dont you think? i mean he is half blood and everything, who else would it be? i also read a interview with J.K Rowling and she said that HAGRID has a HUGE role in this book!

As we have discussed on at least two of the other topics opened under this title, JO has said that Hagrid is NOT the HBP. She has said that Hagrid, like Fitwick, is a half breed not a half blood.

i think it is seamus because in the first movie he sais his mum was a witch and huis dad was a muggle!!!! and he has been having bigger parts and more scens=es lately!!!! what do yanthink???

Crookshanks (He's a half Kneazle not an animagus)
Voldemort (Jo's said no!)
Harry (Jo's said no!)
Hagrid (Jo's said no!)
The description doesn't seem to fit any student/ kid.

Is that a clue from Jo of who the HBP is? Well, is it Dumbledore? I don't think so, if that's a clue...I don't know who it is! I can't think of anyone that looks like that or remember anyone from the books like that, so are we sure it isn't this new character Mark Evans or w/e? I know Jo has already said he has nothing to do with the book but who knows...is she actually fooling us? Probably not I'm just being silly. I really want to know! OMG I can't beleive we can't figure this out. Who's on the cover of the book? Is it Dumbledore? I can't quite tell, maybe that's the HBP, the person standing next to Harry. Who knows! Any ideas ppl? I can't beleive this is this hard!

I agree, it is bloody hard! And annoying!! Yeah, I gotta agree that when I first saw the front cover of HBP I was surprised that everyone just assumed it was Dumbledore. It probably is but given the description of the HBP... maybe not

Yea, usually the main characters are on the front of the book right? So if it's Dumbledore on the cover maybe it is him...even though he doesn't fit the description what so ever! Have you ever thought of the new defence against the dark arts teacher? It could be him right? Who is Mark Evans anyways? I've never heard of him! Is it him? I am so confused! I wish I could only figure it out.

Mark Evans is a joke and is a thorn in Jo's side. In the OotP, Dudders' gang are out beating people up and one of their victims is a Mark Evans. WELL, the chat rooms went wild!!! : 'Evans was Lily and Peti's maiden name!! Who was this Mark Evans? Was he some relative? Harry has a cousin???!!' All this kinda rubbish got posted all over the world Jo had enough!! She came on her official site and said that Mark Evans was a big mistake of a name and "Mark Evans is a nobody!" Thus, Mark Evans the user name of one of the administrators on this site, is a V.V. funny name!!! Get the joke?

Here's another clanger for you: Jo's also mentioned that there will be another character in HBP called McClannon. She's said that she just liked the name but I and many others on this site have jumped on that one!! Read other 'HBP?' threads on this site - and there are many!! - to see the kind of discussions that went on. Also find the 'Clanging Clan of McClannon' thread - V funny!!

I think it will be a new character. An older man. But what we need to ask ourselves is Will he be good or bad? I say bad, we already have ONE hero (harry) so a bad guy would be better. hehe. And I dont think voldermort will have such a big part in this book. he is prolly gaining power, and the last book he will be big and scary and powerful! BAM.. but Harry will get him.. i hope..hehe
