Can Harry Kill Voldemort

JKR's said that one of the really important questions is 'Why didn't Voldemort die when the avada curse rebounded?'
What do you reckon about the idea that ''one can't live while the other lives'' but also, that 'one can't live when the other dies'... ?? That Harry and Voldemort are SO intrinsicly bound that they can't live or die without effecting the other??

What does this mean?

OF COURSE HARRY CAN KILL VOLDERMORT........BUT WHO WILL WIN...WILL WE EVER KNOW?????? HELP ME OUT PEEPS

But if Harry can kill Voldemort, why can't Voldemort kill Harry?
We are told that Harry still carries his mother's protection charm. Therefore, Voldemort can't kill Harry today, just as he couldn't kill Harry when he was 1y/o.

yea good point voldemort does have harry blood.and maybe vodemort has a special connection with harry.maybe he can enter harry's dream or read his mind or when expriences pain so does harry.that is vital but what if the protection spell can protect him also.

Am I was being silly! I gotta think this through:
Dumb has told us that he "sealed" *read: 'extended'* the protection charm that Lily created, so that it still exists BUT only when Harry's living with the Dursleys. When he's not living with them, we've gotta assume (Dumb assumes) that the protection charm doesn't work.

The fact that Harry hs his Mum's eyes is meant to be important... OK, so I'm really reaching here, but what if Harry is still covered by LIly's protection charm because he still lives with family AND because he carries his family with him; their love and their looks?? Ok, I know this is out there. We don't know the wording of the charm. Maybe Lily said something like "As long as I can see you, you are safe" (only in Latin of course!). Then because Harry "has his mother's eyes..." he is forever safe? There are two things that make this remotely possible:
1) Everyone says "You have your mother's eyes" they don't say "Your eyes look just like your mothers" or "Your eyes have such a remarkable resemblance to your mother's!"....???
2) JKR wouldn't have kept saying exactly the same thing for 5 books without a reason.

I'm not implying that Lily made an organ donation of her eyes to her son her. I am suggesting that there just might be something that connects these two Lily links. Maybe... just maybe, Voldemort can't EVER kill Harry because Lily is always living with Harry and ALWAYS looking out for him (through his own eyes?...yuck :P ). Do you know what I mean? It's VERY old magic!!...???

Come to think of it Voldemort has never had a really good try at killing Harry since Godric Hollow. Maybe he just can't. ????

However, the fact that Voldemort has got Harry's blood...?? Does this mean that Harry can't kill Voldemort either then...??? I'm going around and around, little windmills in my mind. I need to borrow some elses eyes to see my self out of this one (Lily! May I? ).

Absolutely, I reckon Voldemort's experiences, that Harry tunes into in his dreams, are indicative of the strong bond that exists between them. I also agree that you have asked the vital question: "We have an idea about what this fact means to Harry but what does this mean to Voldemort?" ??? ->

but when Wormtail cut harry's arm in the fourth book and took his blood, voldermort was able to touch him so i think that voldermort can kill harry

some thing has to happen in the last book which jkr has ssaid that she has finished and it is in a vault and the last word of the whole thing is "scar"... omg i got coldchills

voldemort can touch harry becaus of harry's blood. the reason why the curse backfired is because lily sacrificed her life for harry a.k.a. "old magic". if u can touch someone then there's bloody very well chance u can kill them. and they both know the killing curse.

and the same for him
but Voldemort will die and Harry Poter will be with his mum and dad

There's something more about Harry and Voldy's relationship that we don't know yet. We know that Harry can't touch Voldemort but Voldemort can touch Harry without hurting but he cannot handle emotions (remember that he had to leave Harry's bod. because he couldn't stand the loving thoughts Harry had). So Voldemort might have one up on Harry but it's a limited strength. We also know that Harry isn't too good at the Avada curse. He couldn't kill Bagotrix!
