It says in the sixth book he's DEAD. It repeatedly states in the seventh book: HE'S DEAD.
Get over it!

Responsibilities to all G.O.I. members (as soon as someone JOINS):
Correct people who continue in their very feeble hope Dumby's alive.
That's about it.

Is there anyone still insisting that Dumbledore's alive ?
I thought that's a club founded before the 7th came out , when lots of people hoped that he's not dead ?

hmmm.... His portrait hangs in the Headmaster's office at Hogwarts.
He will live on forever in his portrait....

and on a philosophical level.... while people still remember him... is he really dead?

but - yes - I do agree that Dumbledore died and will not come back to life.

And yes, I have seen quite a few people with "Stubborn members of the Dumbledore Lives!Club" In their siggy.

'shoulda lived' is very different to 'is currently living'.

I don't think any of us think that Dumbledore should have died. So I think we're all in agreement with you!

Sorry Gingo, shoulda made it clearer. I know probably nobody wanted DD to die but what I meant was the plot woulda been much more interesting, exciting etc. if DD had lived (but faked death).

I am not confounded! Ok, I have only seen one person with that in her siggy.
I think that it would have ruined the plot if DD had faked his death, not made it more interesting. Remember when JKR said her readers would be disappointed? I don't think she was talking about Harry.
