@m@nd@: Yes Harry was 'moody' in the 5th but didn't he have every reason to be that 'moody' all the rest of his life and he'd denied the impulse? Ok, so he saw some PRETTY awful stuff at the end of the 4th but really...!!! Get over yourself mate! The reason he was so 'moody' was because he thought that the world and the war should revolve around him; that HE'D been the one to witness Voldemort's return and therefore HE was as indispensible to the war effort as he had been to the resurrection; he'd begun to believe the hype about himself/ that he was important!!! Sirius was the exactly the same.

I'm really sorry that Sirius/a young bloke with lots to give and all the potential in the world, ended up shunned and ruined and in Azkaban but.. get over it! Your a father now! But Sirius didn't get over it. As much as he wanted to love and protect Harry he and 'The Course' would always have come first for Sirius because that's where his glory and his 'reason detra(sp?)'('reason for being') was. Without the fight; without something to hate, Sirius would have been nothing. He would not have made a good parent. Maybe Snape might do better...???

hey buffy:no way snape would not have made a good parent he has way too much hate in him. and that is so true harry felt the whole thing revoved around him.he was not thinking of dumbledore and rons parents who was risking so much for him.he was only thinking that they did not let him on the order.he had a right to know but he didn't have to be so selfish.he thought of himself only and not about the people who sacrificing time and energy and maybe even their live s for him.and so did sirius because he he was wrongfully acccused does not he could get selfpity ALL the time.but i still like him he is soooooooooo sweet but when i had read about lupin i had actually fallen for him.i found him really sweet.and what fight are you talking about?the one with him and his cousin beatrix?

Nicely said @m@nd@.

When I said 'fight' i meant the 'fight against Voldemort'; 'being an active solider in the War'. I could never see Sirius happy without something to hate; some enemy. Jo was probably doing him a favour by killing him off in battle. I don't think Sirius would have been at peace in peace time either.

Harry was screaming to be let in to the Order and all that they knew and did, throughout the 5th. Now that he's found out that he is indespensible because he is the one who will "murder" Voldemort, I wonder if this will take a bit of the ire out of the irritation? I mean, maybe Harry won't be quite so irritating now that he got what he wanted: He'll be thrown into the ring with Voldemort and either be a victim or a murderer. (Be careful what you wish for)

There's more going on with the Snape story. I'm with the shippers who reckon that Snape owes something to Harry and therefore, it's gonna be repaid before the end. Whether that means Snape sacrifices himself for Harry or rescues him, either way Snape will go through some kind of redemption. Therefore, there's potential there for some kinda reconciliation 'tween Harry and Snape - Harry needs a Dad... ?? ?? Snape will cahange when he doesn't have the resentment of owing anyone on his shoulders.
What do you think? Snape too embittered???

Okay, Sirius can't be back alive. I think that he's dead, and part of what Harry needs to learn is that he's going to loose people. That's part of life. Maybe since Sirius died for him, he will learn more about love, and its powers. That could help in defeating Voldemort.

Also, Harry DOES need a family, but I think that the Weasely's do a great job. Snape doesn't really owe him anything, but if he did, it would probably end with the "Someone-Knows-That-Harry-Needs-To-Live-And-Will-Therfore-Die-So-He-Can-Live" theory. Maybe Snape will know the importance of Harry's survival.

Snape will (should) have a bigger part in the coming books.

i don't know about snape paying back harrry because i think snape is tooooo proud.and maybe harry and voldemort will die now i haven't heard anyone wih that idea.i mean the battle does not ahve to favor one of them.maybe something can go wrong and harry ends up diein after killing voldemort, maybe from being weak or an injury.there is no sinificance about harry only that he MAY be thet one to kill voldemort.maybe voldemort will kill him and the others seeking to kill voldemort kills him together.or maybe the power of loves prevails and not only harry but harry and ron and herms and the whole order defeats voldemort and the dark forces.you know everyone has showed their courage in someway or another and i think they will help in th defeat in voldemrt and personally i think nevlle will be able to help.(neville isn't as helpless as we think)

@m@nd@: Yeah. The 'Harry and Voldemort will die' theory is popular. On this site I know it comes up in the 'Character Analysis' thread(and others) and it's a fav. on other sites.

I reckon there's something to be said for it - though I choose not to believe it/ I'm a 'happy ending or I'm not watching it' kinda girl. The prophecy says "neither can live while the other lives" (something like that) BUT MAYBE one can't live when the other dies (saee 'Char. Anal.' for this theory and debate).. The link between Voldemort and Harry is pretty strong and we don;t know what it all means yet but... MAYBE it means this???

Back to Snape:
Dumbledore says that James saved Siverus' life. Is this 'wizard debt' (that Snape's so cranky about) passed on to Harry?? I think it is. I reckon Snape'll pay it back by sacrificing himself for Harry or taking Harry in. I prefer the first option of course. What do you think???

Sirius:
He's dead but there's a chance we'll hear from him somehow from beyond the grave- they keep doing that in this story!!!

buffy:but even if snape does payback harry do you think will "dock" so low as to take harry in no snape has to much hate in him.he does not hate harry but generates his hate for harry's dad towards harry and i don't think he will softn up i'm thinking he thinks he will lose his dignity or something.anyway i'm kind of that way also but when i'm writing essays for school i like to kill my characters.but i basically enjoy a happy ending but why does this have to end happily.because poeple want it that way.but harry does have a 50/50 chance of survivng this and he should try to boost his odds instead of gtting into tantrums and stuff.and snape paying back with his life does seem like a nice option or maybe even teaching him and preparing him for his battle.

i've got a question.why do you think dumbledore does not want to give snape the defence against the dark arts position?does anyone have anyidea?
