If you're looking for candicates for the DADA job, how about Madam Malkin (Robes For All Occasions)? She is equally qualified. If your main criterion is that s/he has been mentioned in one of the first six books, I've got a bunch of candidates, all of them adults and qualified witches or wizards. Ludo Bagman, Tom the bartender (Leaky Cauldron), Benjy Fenwick, Archie (old wizard in night gown) Elphias Dodge, Weasley - Bill, Charley or Percy, Howard Dingle, Madam Puddifoot, (tea shop), Dedalus Diggle, Perkins (Arthur's co-worker), Doris Cockford, Ernie Prang, Doris Purkiss, Vicky Frobisher, Penelope Clearwater, Cornelius Fudge, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Mafalda Hopkirk, Cuthbert Mockridge, Geoffrey Hooper, Prof. Grubbly-Plank, Arnold Peasgood, Stubby Boardman.

Yeah, Tonks is fine now because don't you remember that at the end of book 7, she and Lupin were holding hands? And Ginny is actually one year younger than Harry because when he was in his second year, she first came to Hogwarts. Mrs. Weasley becoming the new Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher-ver far-fetched. You really have no proof to your theory do you? She'll probably just want to stay and look after Mr. Weasley when all of the children come of age, she won't want to leave her home because if she did, she'd be worried sick about Mr. Weasley. And no offense to Mrs. Weasley, but she wouldn't exactly be the greatest teacher: 1) She'll snap at the kids like she does her kids 2) She woudn't be used to it, especially after being a house mom for all that time 3) What would she know to teach? If you ask me, she would be better off teaching Home Ec. if she did decide to become a teacher. But I kind of see what your saying, are saying it's going to be Mrs. Weasley because she's a close adult to Harry? Oh, and it's not definite that the school will be closed down, and the teachers are going to try their hardest to keep it open because they want to have things look at least a little normal because of all that's happening. But as for Harry staying at school.....that's another story. There's a GIANT chance that he won't go back, and that he'll just go and look for the horcruxes, which he's right, is more important at this point. Though I KNOW Ron and Hermione wouldn't let him go without the, so the question right now is-How will they do it? If that made ANY sense at all, please tell me

Some of those names would never be the DADA teacher- Go back to HBP and you will see how many students dropped potions- so many out of 40 students only 12 are left- half because Harry had the DA teaching students. Not all wizards and witches are as good as Hogwarts teachers- DD is the only 1 Riddle ever feared - but they both use and have people under them. Mrs. Weasly is a trusted witch- DD placed many burdens on her - 1 protecting Harry when DD couldn't be there in her house. Notice - only at the Dursleys is Harry safe from voldemort or at Hogwarts but Harry spends a lot of time at the barrow - no protection - I think NOT- Mrs. Weasly is in the order and a strong leader against the dark arts - no question. Again you say the boggart, Hermonie at time of great stress failed aginst it - is she a bad witch for it- no just human. DD knows this, Menerva trusts her, and is a lot like her. Who would Menerva ask is the proper question , DD asked men , Menerva will ask a woman. Mrs. Weasly is our KING (Queen) DADA teacher.
