I used to think that the HBP was an assassin the Voldy was going to hire to kill Harry. But then I realised that Voldy would only take away from the respect he's earned for himself in the wizarding community by hiring someone else to do his killing for him. So witht that I'm changing my veiw to Dumbledore. I think it's him. I want it to be him. After all we don't really know anything about Dumbledore's past. I think that anything about Dumbledore's past would be absolutely fascinating.

Hogwarts was started by the 4 greatests witches and wizards of their time but none of the 4 were considered royal. The only kings and queens mention in the books were chess pieces. Are the kings and queens that belong to Wizard Chess true royals that werer placed under a spell by a former wizard? Will one of their decendants appear and try to restore the chess pieces to their former kingdoms?
On another website, the HBP was described as an old man with gray hair like a lion and yellowish eyes behind the spectables. It is possible that the HBP could have been transfigured into an animal waiting for the spell to be broken by someone like Harry Potter.

Actually someone may have guessed the identity of the HBP but since the book isn't out yet, we don't really know who's right or who's wrong. Still it is kind of interesting to think about.

How about the Mer People that live in the lake? Maybe one of them is King Neptune and his son is walking around with gray skin and yellow eyes?????
