Sirius gave Harry a mirror so Harry could always find Sirius. JKR says on her site that this mirror will be important in books 6 and 7. Harry put the mirror away after receiving it because he learned his lesson about spells on muggle items in The CHamber of Secrets (book 2). She says that the mirror might not help as much as we think, but might be more important than we think too.

How do you think the mirror will be used?

i think sirius will return in the 6 .for some reason .But if the mirrow is used wouldn't it be used to communicate with sirius?

Didn't Harry smash the mirror? So, how would it work? Plus, he only has one of them. i guess a simple spell like "Repairo" might be able to fx it though.
