| I believe dumbledore is not dead, and i have facts to prove my hypothisis. First off, the avada kadavra curse that Snape used on dumbledore. I believe that it wasnt truely the curse that snape used. If you should remember, harry sees people being killed with the curse, and also hears about it. In all the time the curse has been used and described, the avada kadvra curse when hits the opponent kills it instantly, which the opponent drops immediatelty down and is dead, but when snape uses the spell on dumbledore, dumbledore flies back up in the air and sits there for a moment, and falls to the ground. remember all the emphasis this book has put onto using spells silently, without speaking. i believe snape said avada kadavra spell, but was not the spell that snape used. please post with replies it took me 2 times reading this book to realize this! |

| Nice observations! But there is a corpse, and I've always believed that if there's corpse, you're really dead. But you are making sense and all, but even really famuos wizards say things out loud, and maybe he flew out because of the impact of the curse. Then again, you do make so much sense... |

Harry & Dumbledore were together the whole time. Through all of the discussions, the adventure in the cave, flying back through Hogwart's security system, no one knows enough about Dumbledore to fake all of that. |

| no dumbledore is dead. his portrait appeared in the head's office. and they buried his body. sorry to disappoint you. Harry has to do it all by himself, besides having ron and hermione. |

is probably dead (although I still need a little more denial time). However, the portrait could have some other explanation. Quote:
