the gum is "Droobles best blowing gum" correct? that's an anagram.if you re-arrange the letters you get another sentence and that is "Gold under st mungo's".lucius malfoy always gives st mungos gold, so maybe he's paying them to keep their memories fried.but that memory charm theory is pretty clever.it wud explain his absent mindedness.but i hope that harry stays the main link in the prophecy.i don't really like neville that much

Yeah but WHAT a BRILLANT theory!!!!!

'Droobles Best Blowing Gum' could be an anagram for 'wibble gooble dung storms' which, I think you'll all agree, is v. interesting! * looks conspiratorial: Nods head knowingly and squints in hard concentration*

Hey talking of clever little word play-y-thingys, there's a thread on MuggleNet called 'All the Little Things' or something like that, where they've pulled out all the 'little' clues that readers reckon showed us that Sirius was gonna die. I've posted this like twice before so sorry if you've read it before but I really like it. My favourite was this one:

When the trio went to St Mungos they passed a ward that had a sign on it which reads:
Creature Induced Injuries
Dangerous
Dai Llewellyn Ward
Serious Bites

The first word from every line reads ....
Which means 'Kreature dangerous. Die Sirius'

This is probably total rubbish of course but the fact that some reader actually found thgi sis incredible!!

This topic on MuggleNets is worth a read- v. funny! But maybe Jo likes to out smart us with these tid bits of clues so 'Droobles Best Blowing Gum'...???

That is really interesting..with the dangerous creature kill serius thing. It could have been a little hint J.K. hid in there!
Anyways, about Neville. I dont believe the stuff about his parents putting that spell on him because he was a wizard, and I dont think he is all that powerful. If he was it would have been "Neville and the sourcerers stone".. And the broom stick going haywire deal... J.K. could have just put that in there to prove that Neville is not very good wizard and he is kind of the comic relief in the story..everything bad happens to him.. Also, she needed an accident with Neville, so Harry could catch the Rememberball because McGonangal needed to see what a great seeker he is!? You can agree to disagree!

Completely agree that Neville is nothing - and everything ! - but the Nevillle Longbottom that we've grown to know and love!! I do think that the v. special Neville that we all know, will play a much bigger part in the latter books but his extraordinaryness will be all him!!!

'Droobles Best Blowing Gum wrappers' is yet another example of how desperate and conspiratorial Jo has made her fans. Will you just give us a decent clue Jo ?!!

Mr and Mrs Longbottom had some part to play in the events that lead to Voldemort's first demise I reckon. What did they do? hat did they know? What does Neville know? And, how will neville react to the war against Voldemort?
