I actually think that by far the more interesting question is where are the Potters' bodies/graves. You can forgive Harry for not questioning anyone about his parents' wands (despite the fact that there are a lot of people with heirloom wands - and I'm thinking particullarly of Neville {ey! the guy this room is supposed to be about} here) but why hasn't he asked where they're buried? Morbid it might be, but, let's face it, you'd think that the graves of the two people who helped destroy He Who Must Not Be Named would be bloody National Trust Spots wouldn't you? Still, I suppose if there's nothing that would be added to the story by Harry seeing his parent's graves, then Jk would avoid going there, just to stop the stories getting too clunky (and let's face it, the last two books have been pretty clunky at times). Neville Longbottom Rocks! (Just trying to make the post slightly pertinent to its title) |

| Go Neville, Go Neville. GO! GO! GO! Go! Go Neville *chanted to the chanting tune that's... well, that's the tune in my head. There's no way I can tell you what that tune is however. You'll just have to come up with your own if you don't mind* K. Now relevancy to the topic is satisfied: I think it's totally up to the qualities and strengths of the Magical, what magic they are particularly good at. But, yep Jo says "It's important that Harry has Lily's eyes and that her wand was good at charms" (Can I take this op. to again say how wonderful the 'Madam Scoop's JKR Interviews' site is.) I don't know what this means either but we do know that we find out everything we need to know about 'that night' in.... the next ...i think?? So, I'll take a punt and reckon that we'll find out about her wand and her and James' bod's then (after all, Cedric's bod survived an Avadra, i don't see why the Potters' wouldn't.) Until then, I reckon Dumbledore's keeping their wands, as he did the invisibility coat. I reckon the fact that Lily's wand was good at charms might be another reminder that Lily was REALLY REALLY good at charms and ... therefore... protection charm.... this is going nowhere sorry. I'm just reaching and I haven't wamed up enough for such a stretch... my post-pickled brain ain't working. Kinda soggy I'm with you though, if Jo phrases stuff susinctly (except that Mark Evans debarcle) she means EXACTLY what she says. By the way. did you know that Ollivander uses pheonix tail feather, dragon heart string and unicorn hairs as his cores and our intrepid trio have each. Jo says she did this on purpose. I swear this woman thinks of everything (This means that hermione and our Vicky (I like to think of him as 'My Vicky') have the same core to their wands..hmmmm!!??) Harry's lack of questions are remarkable hey? He never asked about his family, his extended family (if Sirius was related to most of the old magical families was he related to James?), how/why he HAD to compete in the Triwizard Tournament, who his parents were and therefore, why Voldemort wanted them dead, who was the eavesdropper at Hogs Head the night of the prophecy, where's Petigrew ( Ron should take a particular interest and be asking about him too), where's Kreature (Hermione should also be asking this one), where's Buckbeak, what's Remus Lupin been up to, what is a 'wizard's debt', why all the sexist terminology particularly from a female writer, why didn't the Avarda kill Voldemort and does this mean he can't be killed? All these kinda questions should be preying on Harry's mind. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed; not the full quid; he's got a few kangaroos loose in the top paddock; he's a few coat-hangers shy of a Sydney Harbour Bridge (I made that one up 'cause I needed one more parochial colloquial to get my message across). Hey, to turn this back to about Neville, for a minute. I said, somewhere sometime, that Alice Longbottom wasn't an auror. I read this on another site I think. I was wrong. Neville's Mum was an Auror. According to his Grandma, she was as well respecteed and as talented as Neville's Dad. Needed to clear that up |

| i think neville is a pure blood i mean that both of his parents were aurors so i guess that means that they are all pure blood..... i don't know i think i lost 30 more brain cells over the summer |
