Are One Of The 3 Main Characters Killed In 7?

I think that Ron will die and Bellatrix will kill him. (This just popped into my head but maybe...) Neville will be there and will get revenge on her (for making his parents go insane with Crucio) by killing her.

If the final duel is the last chapter then both can die and the story ends. It is sad but Harry will have saved the Wizarding World from the evil known as Lord Voldemort, but Harry will die because he killed the Dark Lord who had a connection formed between the two via his..."scar."


I put "scar" in quotes because that is supposed to be the last word from the last chapter of the last book.

It would be horrible if harry dies but it may happen. So many people actually belive harry might die that if he does the book wouldnt be much of a surprise. Voldemort will most definatly be defeated. Thats the way it is in most stories. Good wins over evil. I could see Ron dying the only one i cant picture dead is hermione

Well of course someone will die that we know. just how important they are is the main question. Voldemort will definately die or be defeated. Good almost always conquers evil...ALMOST always.

I think that to make the story realistic, a lot of well loved characters will die (as it is a war). Definately Hagrid (I'm a strong believer of the alchemy theory). Possibly Harry, but more likely Ron (chess game theory too). I would be REALLY surprised if Hermione died tho.

Dumbledore Lives - I'm not 100% sure where I read it. Think it was Mugglenet.
But basically the idea is of a similarity between the series and the alchemy process. The alchemy process includes the black stage, the white stage and the red stage. In book 5 Harry was going through the black stage and at the end of the book he lost Sirius (BLACK). This meant that he had passed through that stage and could move onto the white stage (book 6). This is a more positive book but at the end Harry loses ALBUS (meaning white) Dumbledore and will have to move onto the red stage. I think (RUBEUS - meaning red) Hagrid represents this. That's why I think Hagrid will die. It's a lot more complicated than that but that's the basic outline.

It (unfortunately) makes sense, as I recall Rowling saying in an interview that it would be far worse to lose Hagrid than another character (I don't remember which one it was).

If Dumbledore has a Horcrux (Fawkes), then Hagrid is the secret-keeper as Dumbledore *literally* trusts Hagrid with his life...remember DD told McGonagall this at Privet Drive in book 1.

So losing Hagrid would also mean losing Dumbledore for good. That is why it would be far worse to lose Hagrid.

True. And another part of the theory is that as Harry goes through each stage he becomes closer to each person that represents it (eg. Sirius in OOTP and Dumbledore in HBP). Therefore in DH, Harry will become even closer to Hagrid (which makes sense seen as he has lost two of the most influential adult figures in his life). And therefore, the loss will be even harder to face. But this theory explains why Sirius and Dumbledore had to die (I know, I don't want to believe that part either). Harry had to move through the stages and become an independant adult. This is why I believe Dumbledore knew he had to die. Harry had to lose everyone who had protected him in order to become the protector (IYKWIM). But Hagrid!!!
