I think spelt is actually a grain.

When I went back to re-read Book 5, I came across the prophecy again. Did you know that the prophecy never mentions that the child born in July is supposed to be a boy? (Order of the Phoenix, page 841) I didn't notice that the first read-through.

Whaddya think of that?

That's an interesting observation, but...
Call me boring everyone, but really, the books are on Harry Potter, and Voldemort wants him dead, and all that jazz. Wouldn't it make boring, natural sense that Harry is the one spoken in the prophecy?

Ah, but wouldn't it make it more interesting if there were more than a single Chosen One? Then we'd have to start multi polls to see who everyone thought the final winner (or loser) would be? Would we not be in Potter Chat Heaven?
