Book 6 And 7 Faq

Here are the answers to some questions you might be asking: (Keep in mind these are mainly the same Q&A as posted in the Book 6 board, with some changes.)

Is Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince the real title of the 6th book?
Yes, last week JK Rowling revealed the title to us on her website.

Who is the Half Blood Prince?
Now, why would JK Rowling tell us this? It would ruin the whole story. The Half Blood Price is for us to figure out. All we know is that the Half Blood Prince is not Harry, Voldemort, or Mark Evans.

How do you know that the Half Blood Prince is not Voldemort of Harry?
JK Rowling posted the following on her website:

"… giving you further hints about book six. But as a little bonus, and compensation for having been messed around by Mr. or Ms. Storgé, I shall tell you one thing without making you shift any bricks at all: the HBP is neither Harry nor Voldemort. And that's all I'm saying on THAT subject until the book's published."

HBP stands for Half Blood Prince.

How do you know the Half Blood Prince isn't Mark Evans?
JK Rowling posted in the FAQ section of the website that, "Mark Evans is... nobody." This means that he can't be the Half Blood Prince.

What does it mean, Half Blood Prince?
I'm not exactly sure, but I think it means that in the 6th book there will be a character who has half blood and is in someway a prince.

What is a Half Blood?
If you are a half blood, you have a muggle parent, and a magical parent.

What is the Title of the 7th Harry Potter book called?
As of right now, we can only guess. What do you think the title will be?

Will Harry die at the end of the 7th book?
Your guess is as good as mine.

Will Voldemort die at the end of the 7th book?
As far as we know, Voldemort could die, or he could live. Which it is, I don't know.

Will Ron, and/or Hermione die during the next two books?
Hopefully not, but you never know. Who expected Sirius to die? And yet, he died. There is a possibility that one or both of them dies, and there is a possibility that one or both of them lives.

Will Ron and Hermione hook up? Will Harry and Hermione hook up?
I don't know, and I'm glad I don't. I think that knowing who ends up together would take all the joy ot of reading the books.

Will there be an 8th book?
So far JK Rowling has basically told us there will not be an 8th book, but, things could change.

I also saddened by the fact that only two more books will be published into the Harry Potter series. However, I have also been keeping up with Jo Rowling's website and it's said that the next two books will answer all question about Harry, the furture and the past (Sirius, Lily and James) therefore there won't be anything left to write about... assumably. Yet, what I thought would be a good idea is if Jo Rowling herself published a resource book about stories that didn't make it into the final draft, where her inspriation came from ect. I would diffently by it. So, there are my two cents.

I read a website that said the half blood prince is Hagrid...and I beleive it. I mean put it together he's a half blood and everything, and obviously it's not Harry OR Voldemort since J.K posted it herself! What do u guys think?

i don't know about Hagrid.. he isn't a prince or anything, and I am picturing an actual wizard, not a half-giant, but hey you could be right. thats just my opinion. Maybe it will be a whole new character? And I believe Ron and Hermione will hook up. I hope harry gets a chance with a girl! since him and cho are over now.. I always thought maybe Ginny Weasly? If it doesnt work out, I still think they make a cute couple.. hehe.
