Dumbledore's Death

I think there is some kind of purpose behind Dumbledore's Death what do you say write in with ur views.

I think the purpose of Dumbledore's death is that Harry can follow his path as the chosen one, that's to kill Voldemort. Im not sure exactly how, but I think JK wouldn't kill Dumbledore without a greater purpose. And that could be make Harry the new greatest wizard.

Yes. I hadn't put it into words yet, but I was thinking something along those lines, that Harry needs to stand alone now.

That and the Snape/Draco thing. I'm leaning more and more toward the Snape-is-a-good-guy theories, and I suspect that they are vaguely hovering around the truth.

Also, it makes the whole thing more real. Not that it wasn't real after the death of Sirius, but losing Dumbledore takes it up a notch.

I'm not sure that DD is dead it would after all the process of destroying certain artifacts would be easier if everyone thinks he is dead. However,if he is indeed dead, then there has to be a GREAT purpose and Harry standing on his own isn't nearly big enough. It has to be more JK has not disappointed to this point and let us not lose faith in her now.

I think that the point of him dying is just so Harry can stand alone. I mean, we already know that Harry has to face Vol. on his own. He can not have anyone standing between him. In the end it will only be the two. We all know if Dum. was still alive he would stand between them. So, it only makes since that he has to die. I really don't think it is a bad thing. It is just a turning point in the story...plus it helps drive Harry to find Vol and get it over with faster. I think the books will be more exciting from now on.
