I do have a feeling Tom Jr would still be bad but not as bad as he is now O would hope. Just because he probably wouldn't of had that I grew up a loner thing going on. I think he would have been bad still (after all he was the Slytherin heir and they tend to be bad/mean. You know what I mean?

I think the badness came at least as much from the Riddle side as the Gaunt side.
They were all a bunch of losers.

The part I never got was, why did the Gaunts live in such extreme ignorance and poverty if they were wizards?
And why would an ugly witch stay ugly if she didn't need to?

And, most of all, why didn't anyone invite the girl to a wizarding school?

I think Merope was a squib so she didnt go to a wizard school I think Dumbledore said that but if he didnt it makes sense cuz she couldnt do simple spells/ charms very well.

I think Merope was so scared of her dad and bro. that she was scared to leave cuz she wasnt the best witch and they could hurt her a lot worse than she could them

I think tom gave her enough strength to leave the Gaunts and marry him but all of that faded away after he left her so she didnt have enough will to live

I think the Gaunts lived in extreme poverty because of pride--- they could have sold their Slytherin items but were too proud to, they could have conjured things etc. but they were to proud and probably were not powerful enough to

Thats what I think anyways
