| sires is dead..... even dom. sad so!!!!1 heas dead you just need to execp it ..... like harry must ... no matter how hard he trys no matter how grand his dreems it is not realety..... "it is not healty to dwell on dreems and to forget to live" sires is dead just like lily and james... we dont like it but that is that. |

| My sister had a very interesting (and somewhat disturbing, actually) point about this matter w/ Sirius and Harry. My sister said that when Sirius gave Harry the mirror, wrapped as a present, he said it could be used in the greatest time of need (something along those lines, anyway). Harry never even opened it, the ungrateful wretch. Anyway, if he HAD, maybe he would've never gone to Kreetchers house and ruined everything, he could've contacted Sirius! |

| Yeah, that makes sense, but I think that's kind of the point, too. Ultimately, Harry had the means to contact Sirius without resorting to breaking school rules, but he didn't. Because he didn't think about what he was doing. A valuable lesson for him there, I think. As for the idea of the mirror coming back into play at some point further down the line, I don't think that's going to happen; dead people tend to have difficulty picking up solid objects. |
