You know when you see a movie again or read a book again things catch your eyes that didn't the first time. I am re-reading HP:OotP. I just notice that when Harry went into Snape's office for his first Occlumency Lesson, Snape was extracting his thoughts to put them in the Pensieve. Then, after the lesson Snape was scooping his thoughts out of the Pensieve with his wand and started to replace them back into his head. Does anyone know what he was hiding? I have my own opinions, one of them being he was hiding the fact that he is still a Death Eater and that he never turned spy for Dumbledore. That he was a spy for He-who-must-not-be-named.

Also, why does it seem it bother Snape when Harry mentions Voldemort's name? If I am remembering correctly he has mentioned his name in front of a few other professors and students. Neither may have like the mention of his name but none of the professors would ever say, "DO not speak his name." Even now Hermione started speaking his name.

Just wanted some feedback on what other people thought about this.

Good questions.
Other than the one we saw in "Snape's worst memory,"
I have no idea.
But it does seem strange to me that he would make such a big deal out of them.
If I really wanted to hide something like that,
I would do it before Harry walked into the office and then put the Pensive out of sight.
I would not do it right in front of him, over and over.
It's like Snape was daring Harry to try for a peek.

Well we all know that Snape is not concerned nor really cares what Harry sees that because in Snape's mind, Harry is there to learn to close his mind. He thinks Harry is weak, he probably thought he would never retrieve his worse either. As far as the one he is hiding, I guess Snape assumed to be better safe than sorry. It all just makes us wonder besides the obvious could he have been hiding anything else we may not know of yet.

That is a thought. That is a definite possibility, but as he never saw anything other than "Snape's worst memory" I'm not sure. That is, unless he wanted him to see that, so that he could see what his father was like. On the other hand, I don't that Snape would risk his own embarassment to prove a point to Harry.

If he was actually trying to hide something, it is likely the truth of whose side he is on that he is hiding. As I believe Snape is not a baddie, I believe this would be Snape hiding the fact that he is on the Order's side.

Why would Snape hide the fact that he is in the order? He should know that Harry assumed that he is in the order along with the other members because of the traffic in and out of the house. Wouldn't he want Harry to know that he is a good guy? Why would you hid the fact that you are on someone's side especially during this crucial point in time.

Snape's value as a member of the Order rest entirely on the fact that he is a spy. His value is that only a handful of people know where his true loyalties lie. If Voldemort was accessing Harry's mind at the time and Snape is a member of the Order and Harry saw solid evidence that he was, Voldemort could then know Snape was not on his side.

Well since I did change my mine abou Snape - I still think he was hiding something from Harry - something besides his Worse Memory - that could not really be his worse memory - that he wanted to hid plus since he pulled Harry out of the Peniseve before he could see the rest.
