A Certain Theory

I have a theory that JK Rowling was foreshadowing early in the third book.

Remember when they were on the train and Remus Lupin was sleeping in the same cart as them.
Remember when the sneakoscope went off I think that it was foreshadowing that Lupin was a werewolf.

Technically he wasn't suppose to be there right. So it went off because the sneakoscope goes off when you do something wrong.
(Either that or I have read to much Harry Potter.)
What are your takes?

Actually, it went off because of Scabbers. Remember how Ron said it was going off whenever he tied it to Errol's leg?

But it went off when Ron was tying it on the bird that he wasn't suppose to be using.
So it couldn't have been that cheap

The sneakoscope worked because it weant off when George and Fred were putting beatles in Bill's soup, when Ron used the owl. I think it weant off because of dementors or Scabbers or the Lupin being a werewolf, but I think the sneakoscope picks up on emotions of secrecy and Lupin would be secretive if he di not need to be, but if Peter saw Remus he would be frightened and wish to hide. So when first seeing this thread I thought it was because of dementors, but after reading the one about Scabbers I thi nk that one is the best.

i think it was due to dementors on the train..
if it lighted up due to scabbers, it shud hav been lighting up everytime scabbers was around..(which was quite often..)

No but it weant off because of Scabbers because Peter saw Lupin and became secretive and/or extremely nervous.

I don't think that she was foreshadowing. But, probably she was. She is a very, smart woman.
