emma tompson is great she plays in some of my fav.movies....

i was thrilld when i found out she was going to be trelawny... she seems perfict for it!!!

i do think she over did it a bit but isent that what trelawnys good at, over doing things?

In the movies, Trelawny was a good character, kooky and neurotic. They used a fish-eye lense on the camera for her in some scenes which makes her look even more bug eyed. I think Thompson had to overdo her character so the audience would remember her. Her neurotic nature is central to the plot in Order of the Phoenix. Umbridge seeks her out with devastating results.

I think that she can see the future but only sometimes. Like when she went ridged
when Harry was taking his test, remember?

I really didn't see her that way, I mean yeah she looked kind of like the character described but i mean she was too nutty. I saw her being more mysterious and I don't know why it bugs me so much but right after she makes the prediction and she starts to yack it just begs the heck out of me how she does it.

I think that she should've been exaggerating her words, not her actions. She shouldntve been so clumsy, and thats not at all the way i pictured the room (a lot of things werent the way i pictured them).

Also, Hermione should've left the way she did (off topic, but yeah)

i thought it was great when hermione stormed off and then she hit malfoy it was sooo great but the divination teacher is freaky but she made a good prediction

I think that Trelawney has the gift, but that her pride gets in the way.
"I would never presume to predict anything so far-fetched."
She just shoots herself in the foot.

I think Dumbledore mis-handled her. He should have talked to her more, encouraged her more. I wouldn't tell her of the original prophesy, but I would tell her about her vision of Peter's escape and Voldemort's return. And I would tell her of the other little things that she saw right but interpreted wrong.

If handled properly, I can see her blossoming in the seventh book.

There are different kinds of seers, right? Okay, so is Trelawny someone who can't choose to future? *hums Thats So Raven theme song*

Also, how come she can't remember her predictions, but other seers can? Or can they?
