Did I say 'chuckle'? I meant 'manicial cackle'! I'm glad you find humour in my frustration!!

in order to control myself I must recite the ancient mantra:
'Aussie Aussie Aussie
Oi, oi, oi
Aussie, Aussie, Aussie
oi, oi, oi
Aussie
Aussie
Aussie, Aussie, Aussie
oi, oi oi
*contented sigh*

Hmm.....an interesting inquiry. The only expanation I have is that w/ magic, theres always going to be unanswered questions, mysteries. I think that the phoenix tears healed Harry on contact, automatically neutralizing the venom in Harry's body. Either that or the tears obliviated the venom entirely. Whether it still lingers inside him or not we'll never know for sure.....

I must agree on that.. seems the only sensible explanation!

I think we just have to take it as read - I've never seen a Phoenix so I can't check - the idea was the the tears of the Phoenix had magical healing powers and that will have to do as an explanation!

Yes.. We can't demand that every tinsy tiny detail is explained.. We just need to accept that he was healend and not question everything that J.K may or may not have tought of.

Phoenix tears are either one of the only, or the only cure for basilisk venom, so it would contradict the venom, so it would lose it's affect on Harry...
