The Shack On The Rocks

Do you remember how Hagrid and Harry took the boat (the Dursley's had taken to the shack) to the shore the morning after Hagrid came and told Harry he was a wizard?

Well, if that really happend, then how did the Dursley's get back to shore? Does anyone know?

No, that was in the movie.

I thought the point was that we don't know or care.

How could 11-year-old Harry do that? He didn't even own a wand until later that day, and had no idea how to use it.

I think it's better (more fun) that we leave the Dursleys to manage it for themselves.
Most likely, that muggle who let them use the shack went looking for his boat and found them stranded there.

Like I said two-and-a-half years ago, I thought the point was that we don't know or care.

I agree with Psyduck, we don't know or care, but if I had to say who it was, I would think that Hagrid or Dumbledore would've arranged some method of transportation for them to get off the island.
