Has anyone else ever wondered why Dumbledore likes Lemon Drops so much? I mean, while he is talking to McGonagall on Privet Drive he starts eating Lemon Drops during an important conversation. Why?

Are they called 'lemon drops' in US versions? They are 'lemon sherbets' in Aus (prob. Br. as well). And Dumbledore's password is 'lemon sherbets' the 1st time Harry goes into D's office too I think..??? (that's in CoS isn't it?)

I believe he uses the lemon drops as a prop because he is upset and he wishes McGonagall would relax and not be so prudish about all things muggle!!

Hmm. I dont know, but I thought it was cute to imagine such a grand wizard as him, strolling along eating candy. It does seem like Dumbledore has quite the sweet tooth.

I think maybe it was to lighten the mood, or possibly he just randomly starts eating candy all the time...
